Wisky (+7) over Penn St
Penn St has beaten easier teams on the way to getting far to much credit. Yes, playing ikn happy valley is a boost but you have to think that Wisky is te more talented team and they play games on the field and the crowd will be taken out of the game with PJ HILL smashing the ball. The wisky line is big enough to move the line of scrimmage and make sure that Hill is getting positive yards almost every carry. The fact that morrelli is a pocket passer and the badgers struggle with scambling is a plus for Wisky. The fact that the badgers secondary has not played well but Morelli has been turnover prone is a plus for Wisky. The bad news is the tackling and back seven for wisky has been poor and that helps out the lions if they get past the d-line. Donovan might have to do even more than ever. Hill will play, but he's struggling through his groin injury, while top deep threat Luke Swan is gone for the year with a hamstring problem. YIKES!! but The o-line is big enough that who ever is in the backfield straight ahead running will be effective for wisky. I think the Wisky defense will show up and this will be a old fashion smash mouth game. In a smash mouth game I think the o-line of Wisky prevails considering the lions have had a tough time stopping anyone. I think Wisky wins this game but they are far too talented to be getting a full TD. Even with the injuries I expect this battle to come down to grit and want to and even though I think Wisky is soft I don't have a high level of respect for PSU.

Ill (-3) over Iowa
From what I have seen to date I am not impressed with Iowa. The weather is not going to be great but thats fine for Ill with speed at QB and RB. The O-line for Iowa is just beaten down, they have not opened any hole, given up a ton of sacks and I am not sure they are good enough to keep any team at bay. Ill D-line played outside themselves against PSU and Wisky and I think they cause problems today for the Iowa group. Iowas defensive front is good but they did get manhandled by PSU. This is an Iowa team hungry for a win but an Ill team playing better every week. A team playing with confidence is hard to not off balence unless your a good team with something to prove. Iowa has something to porove but with the injuries at WR and no help on the o-line they are not a good team. You will see some McGee today under center for Ill and IMO thats a good thing because it is hard to game plan for 2 QBs and both have different skills that can hurt the Iowa defense. This will come down to what offenses can do against tough defensive lines... and I think Ill can be more productive and the Ill defense make it very hard for Iowa to move the ball.

Oregon (-19) over Washington St
I got burned by Wash St last week holding ASU off the board. That game is misleading because ASU moved the ball with ease all day but Carpenter made huge mistakes and that almost ended up costing them the win but the Devils pulled it out. Oregon is off a bye, home, and coming off a tough loss to Cal. Washinton is a bad road team and the ducks should look to show them a rebound they are not ready to defend. Washington State defense that ranks 92nd in the country and is 116th in pass efficiency defense. The Wash defense got to Carpenter but if they get to Dixon he will scramble and that will be a huge difference in this game. The Oregon defense has allowed at least 400 yards and 31 points in each of the last two games. The defense won't have to step up that much because washington st will hurt themselves with penalties and turnovers. WSU can move the ball with the big field in front of them but they cannot in the redzone and the ducks will limit them when it comes to scoring. The ducks will not have that problem with a huge talented group of WR's and TE then Stewert should have a big game. I expect the ducks to come out and play extremely well at home against a poor defense. I think the ducks will average 2 for 1 when it comes down to scoring output.

Ol Miss (+6.5) over Bama
Bama has Tenn on the doorstep they do not over power many teams and they are not at home. This is a trap game for Bama and ol Miss has enough talent to keep this one close. Despite being 1-2 in Oxford, the Rebels have played well at home, with the two losses coming to top-ten caliber teams Missouri and Florida. Ol Miss struggles against the run but this will be a hard faught game and IMO a little closer than Bama wants to see.

Mizzou (+12) over Okla
The sooners are a beast at home but they have shown some weakness over the past few weeks and Mizzou is a team that can take advantage. The young sooner team might think they are not as dominating as they were to start the season and Mizzou should take that confidence to the test. Texas was able to move the ball, Tulsa was able to move the ball, and Colorado was able to be productive. I think that is some of the sooners playing on the road but I like Mizzou to move the ball and be somewhat productive and put points on the board. Okie will score but this will be a tight game and the tgeam that makes mistakes will lose. The ball bounced Oklahomas way last week but I don't think it will happen again to that extent. Mizzou is off a beating of Neb and the defense looked great that night. That defense will keep Mizzou hanging around and the offense will not do anything to give the game away. This is the game for Mizzou and they know that, while Okie is coming off an emotional win against Texas. That game takes a lot out of Okie, the home field advantage will help but the tigers stay close and could upset Okie if they get the breaks.

Kentucky (+9.5) over LSU
Off a wicked emotional home comeback against florida. Looking a bit at Auburn next week. Kentucky off Woodsons worst game against So. Car get a good bit of chalk at home. LSU has a great defense that is true but I think the home field will get Kentucky to play well and they have the talent to make plays against the LSU secondary. No RB Little for Kentucky hurts but I like the speed they have behind him. They lose the experience and ball handling but they have good players ready to step in. This will be the first and one of the on ly tests for LSU outside their state. I think that is huge. LSU played at Tulane and have not really gone anywhere tough to suit up. I think they will have some let down while Kentucky needs this game, this is the season for Kentucky and they know that. Last week was the season maker for LSU and they might lack focus here. I think the defense for Kentucky is much improved but LSU will move the ball. If Kentucky wants to win this game they cannot have turnovers (Ithe reason they lost against So. Car) and they need to score in the redzone. They have a match-up with the TE down field. The LSU LB's are good but they like to hit and that sucks them into the run so playaction will give the TE the second level. I expect a hard faught game but Woodson is too good of a QB to have 2 rubbish games. Especially at home they will play better. I think Kentucky can win but it is unlikely. However I know they have the talent, will and home field to keep it close. Fundimentals are the key and with the extra timje to prepare I am sure they have worked on the little things that can win the game. You just have to think that after last weeks comeback LSU is a little spent.

Small Play
UNC (+7.5) over So. Car
I like the hook and the home field. UNC showed they can play with good teams. They have moved the ball on good defenses. The have confidence and they still remember the game when Steve (classy) spurrir put in the TE to kick a FG LEFTY in a 41-0 beating at chappel hill.

I don't want to do this but what can I say...
small play
Louisville (+9.5) over Cincy
I think the defense should just give them 7 each possesion and then get the offense back on the field. Well thats how its gonna play out.

Colorado (+5) over KState
Kansas was getting chalk there and won outright and I think the Buf can do the same. I'll take the points because it could come down to the end. The buf defense, hawkins and solid play from the o-line and TE should be enough.

ASUJ (-11.5) over Washington
ASU is a good home team and the passing game for ASU wilkl cause problems for Washington. The huskies have lost the last two so confidence is low. Also Carpenter played poorly last week and I don't see another week like that game asainst wash st.

SUNDAY NIGHT

SUNDAY NIGHT

Boise St (-26) over Nevada
Blue turf vs the Pistol. Boise is a monster at home. Ian Johnson has not needed to carry this team and they look like they are getting great plays from the QB position. Boise defense is very good at LB and they can blitz and fill with the best of them. The secondary is solid because they have 2 good lock down corners and the safeties watch the QB and are around the ball. Nevada has weapons but they are not the team of the past and they do not have the playmakers to hurt boise enough to keep this game close. Boise shut down a banged up QB last sunday but the spread offense is what I was whating them play against. Boise looked good in coverage and the ppressure the front 4 got was very good. That d-line play should be a factor tonight. They will pressure the pistol offense into not converting on 3rd down and once the boise offense gets the ball they will look to score and score a lot to take the Nevada offense out of its gameplan. Navada has a very good coach but they just don't have the playmakers this season. They have some players that need to step up but are not ready. Tonight at home, on TV with something to prove after losing once the broncos come out looking to establish. Then the defense makes Nevada get out of the game plan and force turnovers. IMO Boise is a far better team playing at home where they play fundimental sound football.
