Record to start week: 25-20 +4.80

Cleaning up the thread -- here's what I've got and what has already been decided for the week. Write ups below.

West Virginia -7 3x (Win)
Miami -6.5 2h 2x (Win)
Minnesota -7 2x (Pending)
Oregon State -6.5 1x (Pending)
Toledo -13.5 1x (Pending)

Minnesota -7 -120(2x)....grabbed this line when it crashed down after it opened at 9 and I'm glad I did, as I see it back at 8.5 now. Line could be be double digits when the game kicks off. We all know about the Minnesota rushing attack, but what impressed me was the defense last weekend who stiffened in the second half vs Michigan but couldn't hold them off late. I thought they'd get torched by the Michigan WR's and to their credit they kept their team in the game most of the way. As for Michigan State, they are letting some teams just run wild on them, which doesn't bode well considering Minnesota might just have the best rushing attack in the nation. Michigan State let Rutgers, Iowa and even Illinois run for a lot of yards in their games, and I expect Minnesota to have a field day on the turf in Spartan Stadium. This o line is built to run block on the turf and should do very well in this spot.

West Virginia -7 (2x)....UConn's last time out was a home win vs Pitt, their first Big East win in team history, and are in a similar spot this week vs a much better team in WV. To me Pitt has been exposed as not nearly the team they were last year, and they can't be compared to West Virginia. UConn also lost on a weeknight once this year to Boston College, a game where they seemed outmatched. Again, BC is not WV.
WV comes off a tough loss but still is the class of this conference and are hungry to get the BCS bowl bid. I expect to see a great effort this week out of them coming off that ugly loss.

Right on point Blackman - UConn backers must think they can continue to reap the benefits of an undervalued team. Playing their first quality team this week will expose them.

GL BM!! On the other side of the WV pick though....think UCONN will fight to the end in this one. Very hard to rebound on the road off a tough loss for WV...I guess we will really see what they're all about in this game.....extra week off should definetly help. GL this weekend!!

Hit West Virginia, which was a nice win going into the weekend, but boy are they a sloppy bunch. Tons of talent, but they love to shoot themselves in the foot and don't have that killer instinct to put a team away. Seemed like they could have put Uconn away very early, yet I was sweating the play all night.

i was sweating it out when uconn got the ball back on the onsides...by the way they had been running the ball late and the WV's unwillingness to run away with it, this was a lot closer than i had it capped at.

LTW2 -- I agree. Don't get me wrong I'll take the win, but WV did not put forth nearly the effort I expected last night. Up 24-6 in the 4th quarter with the ball, they should have ended the game right there, not let UConn score and recovery an onside (almost recorvered two of them).

Top 25 talent, but they didn't look like a ranked team last night.

I agree Blackman
WVU was way to sloppy in this game, still a W is a W. I'll tell you this I hope they keep wining because I can only pray they are giving points to BC!!!! I'll take the Eagles for a ton!

GL the rest of the weekend!

Miami 2h -6.5 (2x)...Miami hasn't lost a home game under the lights in over 30 years, don't know if they will come all the way back to win but love their chances to cut it to single digits.

Oregon State -6.5 (1x)....going to keep fading Washington. The QB situation is a mess, and it looks like Paus is back into the starting role this week with Bonnell's injury. Paus has only completed 46% of this passes, and just looks off and uncomfortable in the pocket. Oregon State has the defensive talent to really shut down the Huskies, and as long as they bring some of that to this game it will be more than adequate.
