Big Play
SFla (-2) over Rutgers
This is plain and simple... Ruitgers running game against a very tough Bulls defense. Forget about the home field, forget about Grothe and the Sfla offense, forget about Teel and forget about home field. I like this game based on Soth Floridas defensive speed and the poor performance of once hiesman canidate Rice. The Rutgers have a good enough offense to open holes for Rice but I think people forget about the talent this rutgers team lost last season in the very good TE and Lenard. STILL rutgers is gonna come out fired up I am just not sold on Rutgers this season. They have not beaten anyone of substance this season, but that just means they will pull out the stops tonight. Still I really like the match up between the South Florida defense against Rutgers offense. I think they have too much speed on the line to let the big o-line open it up. Then the LBs fill nicely while the safties and corners have enough speed to get onto of anything Teal wants to do. Underneth routes scare me a bit but eventually the speed of LBs will fill those gaps. The even with the defense I like Grothe's want to, this kid just has something that gets his guys behind him. He scrambles enough to wait for big deep plays to open. I think this will be a good game but I think SFLA is the better team tonight.

Smaller play
Utah (+3.5) over TCU
For some reason they play well during the week.

Boston (-122) over Clev

wow.... nice game planning on sfla part....how do you not designate a safety to come down and spy rice or know rutgers was gonna bring trickery.

l'ville (-3) over uconn
virginia is not imo a good top 25 team. outside of uva uconn has not faced any talent on offense. the passing attack for louisville should be far and above what uconn can contend against. the louisville defense is trash but they did hold cincy to 24. uconn is a good home team and l'ville has lost to some bad teams but putting records aside l'ville is the better team. plus...louisville has a good selection of smart seniors. those seniors under stand that the cards finish the season with rutgers, wvu, sfla....so a win now gets them closer to a bowl game. the l'ville defense is not going to stop anyone outright but the huskies 33 points per game have to be silenced. that point total is a bit inflated with akron, duke, temple, maine and pitt on the list. i think the uva total of 16 is more around an average against ateam with some defense. so how they fair against a team with no defense means they should be in the mid-high 20s tonight. i think brohm...who has not been given any credit for his good season....should lead the offense to points. krapthorp should plan to recieve to opening kick look to score on every drive and leave no doubt...if they think the defense will set tempo they are wrong. this is the offenses team, they have healthy wrs and a good o-line. brohm and that offsense keeps pace and outlasts the huskies.

small play
em (+10) over n'western
on the road off a terrible game against minny that was emotionally draining...add in n'western had no defense against the pass and i think 10 is a bit much.

cheers

Clemson (-16.5) over C. Mich
C.Michs QB has looked good the past tywo weeks12 touchdowns and 857 yards in a couple of Chippewas wins. However this is going to be a bigger defensive test for CMich and I do not see them getting it going in Death Valley. Kansas and Purdue each ran for 246 yards on Central Michigan. This makes me think Spiller and Davis will each have huge games at home. The C.Mich d-line cannot generate pressure so Haper should have a decent game as well. The Clemson tigers have too much defensive talent as well as far too much offensive speed for this game to stay close. A scary aspect is the late give up TD's that Clemson might give up because they are ahead. Still I think the home field and the overall talent should be enough in this game.

Kentucky (+6.5) over Florida
EVERY ounce of my being is saying take florida but I will take the points. Kent played lights out last week and they went to numerous overtimes to beat the number 1 team, is a lot of emotion to get back. Kent has been polaying tough games all season. In come the Florida gators RESTED and ready for the team that beat LSU. The gators have talent, speed, coaching and rest on their side but I like the home field in this contest. I think for Kent to get up in this game they are going to need that crowd energy. I know this is a tired Kent team but you have to think these kids get up for such a big challege and they are the home squad looking to keep momentum. I think is Kent was rested they have a shot at the win but I like the points in this contest even though I think Florida comes out with more energy to start.

Kansas (-4) over Colorado
Altitude is going to make it hard for the jayhawks. They have not seen a lot of talent against them this season but they have beaten the teams they had to by a big number. Colorado is well coached, they have good leadership and a strong defense. PLUS they get a nice home field advatage. So why the jayhawks, because they have a mentality to go in where ever and play their game. They have a good line, good QB, playmakers on the edges and talent at QB. This is a kansas team that can only beat themselves. They play fundimental football and if they limit the mistakes they should have no problem in this game. Kansas has a good defense...18 takeaways and only nine turnovers, while Colorado is 104th in the nation in turnover margin Colorado beat Oklahoma in Boulder, crushed Miami University 42-0, and got a good defensive game in a loss to Florida State. This is a battle between a good home team and an overall good team. In this contest I will give the edge to the better team not the turf they play on.

UVA (+4) over Maryland
Even though I think UVA is soft as a ranked team Maryland is not good enough in my opinion to spot this much with a banged up QB. Against UConn the Wahoos did not looks great and they play hot and cold EVERY week, this week I think they come out focused and ready in an ACC match up with a ranking behind them.

Oregon (-13) over WASHINGTON
The ducks out right destroyed Washington St and now they go to Washington where the huskies played very well against USC and gave OSU at least two quarters. I was thinking of how well Washington has played at home and then I thought about who they played. Yes OSU was close but by the third tghey took control. Beating Boise was impressive until I saw Nevada play Boise tough and run all over that defense as Washington did when they played. USC, I am just not sold on and I think they had every oppertunity to blow the doors off Washington but bad QB play hurt them. I know this is a home game and Washington is a good home team but I think if Arizona St can beat them by 24 then the ducks have a shot to let its offense make plays. But the ducks are looking ahead, they have USC on tap and I am sure they have not even thought twice about the Huskies. The ducks lost two key players last week in Johnson and Colvin... but they are the more efficent team. Oregon comes in as the No. 6 offense in the country, No. 4 running the ball and No. 5 scoring. The Ducks are 32nd in the country in passing. ASU became the fourth consecutive team to rush for more than 200 yards on Washington (296 on 49 carries, including TDs of 57 and 76 in the second half) as the Huskies continue to give up long runs. The Huskies are now last in the Pac-10 in rushing defense at 203.3 per game and 5.0 yards per carry. Washington's pass defense continues to rank well statistically (third in the Pac-10 at 229.3 per game), but a lot of that is due to the fact that teams have been so successful running the ball. Oregon leads the Pac-10 in total offense at 532.5 per game, with 266.5 through the air and 266.0 on the ground. A good mix of Stewart and Dixon running and hitting the pass should be big. I think this will be as most duck games an offensive show and if they are the team not to make the mistake they have the talent to get up early.

BIG PLAY
ILL(+3) over Mich
Ill can spread the field. They would have won last week if they even tried to throw the ball. The coaches will not make that same mistake against a soft Mich pass defense. Mich struggled badly with scrambling QBs like Oregon or App st, Juice has the potential for a big game. Mich has not really traveled the globe this season. ONE AWAY game to this point.. ONE against N'Western and they did not set the world on fire in that game winning 28-16. Take into consideration Hart and his back up are hurt and even though I think Hart will play I am not sure he is going to be enough to carry this team. Ill lost their ranking and I am sure that will be a motivating factor for Zook today. I really like Ill to win this game but I'll take the points.

VERY BIG PLAY!!!!
Miss St (+25.5) over WVU
One of Slaton's biggest games came in a 42-14 win at Mississippi State when he had 26 carries for 185 yards and a TD. WVU is a speedy team that can run. I am sure that is not news to anyone. Miss St on the other hand are fifth-worst in the nation, averaging 144 yards passing. Dixon is a very tough runner and they need a big presence from him today to take the pressure of the young QB. The true freshman played by far the best game of his young career, completing 18 of 33 passes for 203 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. The funny thing is I think some players actually like playing on the rioad because they are under so much pressure at home. A few of the players have come out and said it is very hard when they hear boos from their own fans. This will be a nice change of pace because it will be the other teams fans booing them. After the BEATING LSU gave Miss St they have rebounded to beat Auburn (@ Auburn), Lost at So.Car by 17, and lost to Tenn by 12. Those are some pretty good teams and they kept it within three TDs. Miss St is a physical team and that will present a challange for WVU as they are in my opinion soft. They have talent and skill but no toughness and Fire. They also have a tendency to play poorly in the first half and I like that advantage for keeping this near the number. Also a little game with Rutgers is next for WVU and I am sure the players watched as Rutgers beat SFla. I just have to think the ground game for Miss St eats some clock and they fight till the end. WVU should win this game but I have to run with the chalk.

Tulsa (+3) over UCF
Not too much to say here but Tulsa shoulkd out right win this game. So the fact that they are getting points I'll take them, because they are down in Fla. Smith leads Conference USA and ranks fourth in the nation with 368.1 passing yards per game while completing 61.8 percent of his passes. He also leads the conference with 18 touchdowns and ranks second with eight interceptions. Tulsa should win... they have one person to stop... Kevin Smith. I think even the poor Tulsa defense can shut him down.

ND (+17.5) over USC
Small play
Home field, ND playing better while USC is playing ordinary ball. And the flight... The plane USC was on hitting a Tornado, I think some guys might be a little shaken up, it will bring them closer but I don't think it will help their struggles.

Okie St (-3) over KState
Think the cowboys are playing the better ball and they get the home field advantage.

Gotta run, good luck to everyone.

Rice (0) over Memphis
I think the home field is enough in this game.

Miami (+5) over FSU
Both teams are struggling, Miami at least has shown offense this season. I think this comes down to either Miami winning or a FG.

A Side note....
Fox Sports halftime show.... Demarco Farr is a CLOWN.
