Clemson (+2.5) over GT
OK this is a play on Clemson coming out hot at home after losing their coach. These kids have to be angry and they have a lot of talent, so if they come in angry they have every shot at winning this game. Nothing like a can of Korn to get this going, Korn is a far better QB than Harper, I have been waiting for Korn to get the start for 2 years now. He is a very good QB and they have the WR to make him a great QB this season. But is the line good enough to give him a little time to throw? GT has a very fast and aggressive defense and Clemson has struggle in pass protection and run blocking all season. With Korn in the line-up I think Clemson is a better team but no Spiller might hurt them even though they still have Davis who should be productive, Can the Clemson defense stop the triple option. Yellow Jackets are rushing for 255 yards a game, which leads the league and ranks eighth in the country. The Tigers are giving up about 122 yards a game rushing. GT has not really played the type talent Clemson has and they lost to an aggressive VT in blacksburg so Clemson has every chance in winning this game. Remember Garner Webber gave them a game and even in a look ahead spot for Clemson that should not happen, the yellow jackets needed a blocked FG to win that game so they might have their hands full today. Nesbit is back which helps GT but you would have to think he is a little rusty after missing three weeks. Can clemsons offense show up, I think the answer is yes and I think a team that just lost their coach will be fired up, plus they play better at home.
