Week 8 College 10/26

As hot as I have been in NFL, I have been equally cold in college. Disastrous 2-5 last week after 3 straight .500 weeks. Still 1 game over .500 for the year. I am going to drastically reduce the number of pay that I make in college and key in on my best plays (3 or 4 games).


Plays:
3:30pm Clemson -16.5 L
The Terps are in deep shit. Their QB is banged up. Their MVP is out for the year (Diggs). Their RB is out for the year (Ross) and the Terps 2nd best WR (Deon Long) is also out for the season. They just lost to the worst team in the ACC (Wake) after getting skull dragged by the Seminoles 63-0. There is an ominous feel to Homecoming week here at Maryland. I see no possible scenario where the Terps stay in this game other than maybe the Clemson charter crashes on the way. Clemson is coming and they just got their asses handed to them last week. The Tigers will not be looking at this game as a bye week. They are coming to show the world that they can beat Maryland 63-0 just like Florida St did or worse.

The ass whooping is being Fed-Ex'd to Maryland and the Terps have to bend over and take it.

Louisville -21 W
When S. Florida turns the ball over, they lose and lose badly. They kept the turnovers down the past 2 weeks and recorded 2 wins. The Cardinals create lots of turnovers (15 take aways) and this will lead to a big Louisville win. Cards coming off their 1st SU loss of the year. Look for them to focus in and not take S. Fla lightly. Also Louisville on a 3 game ATS losing streak which greatly increases your odds of an ATS win.

the terps are beat up at the skill positions....haven`t bet much college foots last few years but i`m considering this one...looks like a nice set-up for the tigers to take out some frustraion(unless their confidence was destroyed by the noles)......

I believe Rattler is referencing "reversion to the mean" in gambling. One of his NFL picks in last 3 weeks was partly based on one team being 4-0 vs spread and the other team being 0-4 vs. the spread (NYG?...the play hit)....meanig that teams don't go on long ATS runs. I have to look up the exact numbers (someone posted them a couple weeks back), but when a team loses 3 straight weeks ATS, they cover at around a 65% clip the 4th week. The % goes up every week that the streak increases. Reverse for a 3 game ATS winning streak or longer, that 4th game, history has shown that team loses ATS at a 65% clip.

My Uncle told me about that stat when I was still in High School. That was a looooooong time ago. I use it in NFL, and NBA also. Its one tool in the bag, not an automatic play when I see it. Let me see if I can pull the stat from somewhere later tonight when I got time. Right now, I'm prepping for my 12u Little League Fall Ball Championship tomorrow morning (I'm manager).
