Minnesota -28.5 over Rutgers ******
Not getting off the Rutgers train yet...vs Indiana last week it was 21-0 in the 1st qrt.. Indy scored a touchdown in the 1st 10 seconds and again an again.. it was 21-0 with 6 minutess left in the 1st qrt.always worried about backdoor covers buts its a conference game so I think there are less chance ...Rutgers is in shambles No qb and freshmen Langan . RU has been outscored 165-7 so far..since the UMass game.
"was thrown to the wolves"..with Sitkowski red shirting and top rb Blackshear doing the same..Langan cannot throw the ball...again he is only 4-5 months from his HS senior prom...he threw for 1 net yard vs Indiana and played the whole game... realizing he couldn't throw theey ran on 3rd and long on every play...the good news was he didn't throw an interception...but Rutgers OL was man handled by Indy def line...Ol was pushed back on every play...even Pacheco the top rb at RU couldn't run the ball...RU defense was also bad...they gave up some big plays that Indy scored on or gained big yards...this is now 2 weeks in a row where Maryland and Indy dominated the defense... Minny is 6-0 although they have played Illi,Purdue,Ga So,Fresno and South Dakota but last week knocked off Nebraska 34-7..in last 2 games defense has given up 10 total points..they are physical up front on both lines have good rb's and wr;s..very disciplined with few penalties.... Its homecoming in NJ this week but see Gophers beating up on a bad Rutgers team by +35-40...Gophers heads might be a little swollen at 6-0 and saying " bring on Ohio's,Wisky and the Michigan s..." now lets hold it for a second...lets concentrate on Rutgers who only lost by 2 pts last year to Minny... so Minny shouldn't take them lightly...and not sure if Minny can score 10 seconds into the game but think they win big and cover... RU fans want to know if there is a Vegas bet on Langan passing yds ..." if he gets 4 yds he will quadruple last weeks number"
