YTD 112-93-5 +26.67 Units

ASU +10.5 for 3 Units - Thursday night play
I will hit ASU 1st half when the lines are released. This team starts fast at home and Sun Devil Stadium will be rocking on Thursday night. QB Taylor Kelly will give the Ducks defense problems. Ducks D have yet to face a QB like Kelly who is very efficient passing but a great runner too. The Ducks offense will see the strongest defense they have played to date and if ASU can get out of the gates fast, they will force the freshman QB at Oregon to press a little. He isn't polished when it comes to his throwing and I see this game going down to the wire, team who has the ball last wins, very similar to the A&M/LT game the other night.

SMU +5 for 2 Units - Thursday night play
This in-state rivalry game should be very similar to the Oregon/ASU game. I think SMU has a huge edge on defense over Houston. Houston is a very young team at key positions and being on the road only complicates it for the Cougs. Houston is only playing their 2nd road game. Their other roadie they got blasted by UCLA. Give me the points at home.

Teams at home getting points on Thursday and Friday nights are 8-4 ATS!

SU -4 for 2 Units - Friday night play
Love the Orange at home against their former coach at UConn. Orange at home in primetime always brings out the best in this team. This is another must win game for SU to try to get to a bowl game. A loss here would most likely derail any bowl hopes. I really like the Senior QB Ryan Nassib compared to what UConn has on the offensive side of the ball. If SU can match the UConn D, I see a 10pt. win for the Orange!

BYU +14 for 2 Units
ND off 2 huge wins over Miami and Stanford in OT with OU on deck. Horrible sandwich spot for them while BYU is very solid defensively and they will play like this is their bowl game. Take the points here but ND wins the game.

KU +35 for 5 Units
Yep, I am taking the enept Jayhawks at 1-5 plus the points in Norman. OU sunk a ton emotionally into their annual rivalry game against Texas and have their biggest game of the year on deck at home to ND! What a horrible sandwich spot. KU looked much better this past Saturday against Okie St. and I really feel Dayne Crist does enough for KU to easily keep this inside the number. Watch for OU to actually yank guys in the 2nd half to get ready for next week and to heal a bit from the hard hitting Texas game. Absoluely love KU in this spot. Watch for OU to sleep walk through this game at times to keep the injuries to a minimum if at all possible.

i'm on 2 of those, plus lean heavily to vols. let's roll

I want to hammer the Vols like my KU play. Love this match up for the Vols and its at home. I think Bama will get a serious test from them......really do!! Glad we agree.

Tough week of games as there are quite a few teams coming off emotional wins or losses so you wonder if they can be fully committed to preparation for games versus oponents without the same buzz.

I agree with you on ASU, Syracuse and BYU. I'm not impressed with Oregon's QB and he has not faced pressure yet or a truly competitive game on the road. I really like Syracuse and I believe they will dominate a much lesser opponent. Will ND score more than 20 points...I don't think so, so 14.5 looks very inviting.

I also like Northern Illinois and Kent as these two seem to cover every week. I think Toledo at home plus 7 is a play versus Cincinnati. Iowa only giving 3 to Penn State is on my list along with Pitt -11 as they drop in class versus a bad Buffalo team.

At the next level (I'll have to read more and look at the match-ups are) Wisky -19.5 vs. Minny as they finally look like the team we thought they would be and Minnesota continues to digress...this line will go up.

I have no idea how NC State will come back after their win versus FSU but, -4 versus Maryland certainly looks like the play.

I have been on Rutgers all year and -4 at Temple is probably the right line but, I think this will be a close game and hate having the four hanging over my head in what will be a low-scoring outcome. I love the Rutgers team but, will probably stay away unless this goes to under three.

I would love to back Kansas State at -3 at W Virgina but, can't give points on the road and they were only -6 at Iowa State. The man posted a low number on WV at Texas Tech to line up money on the Mountaineers and now I think the number is posted again for the same reason. (NOTE: K-State is actually +3 in this game)

Finally how can you not like Vandy -7 versus Auburn. I have to check the injuries on this one but, if Mississippi can blow out Auburn, why can't a better Vandy team?

I will reply to you tmrw azbob for sure! Just off to bed, so burnt out.

I had to post this link though. ND on fall break this week and I get a feeling that Rees might just start on Saturday, which equals bigger play for me on BYU as they have had huge trouble facing a mobile QB, with Rees he is a statue.......and I love the 14 more and more!

Glad we agree on my big 3! I think ASU D gives Oregon QB a long night......plus first true road game of the year for the Ducks. All of this plays in favour of ASU.

I am not sure at all about Iowa, they are so up and down. Each week you never know what you will get. For some reason I think Pitt plays down t the level of Buff....seen them do it all year.

Wisky isnt made to blow out teams but like you said Minny has really struggled but these are 2 longtime rivals.....I always look to see who a team like Wisky might have on deck, his time its MSU.

NC St. is an awful road and off the bye, hopefulll that helps them, but Maryland has a very strong defense. Might be a no play for me.

Rutgers is due for a letdown and the last 2 weeks they have been a bit overvauled. Temple has played really strong the last 2 weeks against UConn and USF, they have really stepped up.

I think KSU matches up very well with WV. Strong defense for KSU will give Geno fits......plus they are better coached to boot. Like you said, that number looks so fishy to me. Money is already pouring in on WV but the line isnt moving.....hmmmm.

Vandy has trouble scoring, that is my only worry with them being favoured by a TD. Auburn is dreadful and you wonder if they have quit on their coach. Vandy sunk alot into that UF game too. Tough call.

Great post and thanks for the discussion.

Vols +20.5 for 3 Units
I am tempted to hit this bigger. Homefield and a potent offense that Bama has yet to see will cause the young Tide secondary issues. This young Bama secondary has yet to be tested and I really believe the Bama corners will have issues with the Vols WR's. This stays within the number!

Texas San Antonio +13.5 for 3 Units
The Roadrunners are a cool 3-1 ATS and and 5-1 overall with their first loss last week at Rice 34-14. This is a team that seems to rise to the occasion are a very well coached team.

SJ St. are solid this year(5-1 ATS) but on the road they have beat Navy 12-0, SD St. 38-34 and lost to Stanford 20-17. Sure they are 5-1 ATS but on the road they dont blow teams out. They got beat bad last week at home by Utah St. by 22pts.

I think this is far too big a number for the Spartans to cover on the road. They will play it very close to the vest as they typically do on the road. Watch for the Roadrunners to take this game down to the wire. This is one of those under the radar games that Vegas has to put a number out on. All the money is pouring in on SJ St. but the line hasnt moved, which is surprising, because usually when that happens, Vegas is quick to lower the number to get more even money with a road fav. Just look at the Bama/Vols game, it opened at 19.5 and already up to 20.5 with all the money coming in on Bama.

UL -7 for 2 Units
Mismatch in many ways. UL is rolling but does have Cincy on deck, still I think they get beat a very down USF squad who are terrible on the road with their turnover machine QB. USF has lost 4 in a row with losses on the road at Temple and Ball St. Yikes!!
The UL defense will give the USF offense fits all day.
