Hey Cruncher. I have read a few of your post regarding UK and I am curious if you are a fan. I assumed you were and then i noticed the baton rouge as your location to the left so i was then wondering if you liked lsu. Just curious. BG

LSU is my adopted team Big G; I'm diehard like yourself, more of a football fan than basketball. The only time I don't pull for LSU is when they play Kentucky. I grew up in Western Kentucky but did live for 3 years in Lexington. Grew up on OVC and usually caught a Kentucky game any chance I could. When I left Kentucky I ended up spending most of my time in Louisiana, mainly New Orleans, so my kids grew up here, married locals, so it's hard to get away from the grandkids. I really like it down here but try to get back to Kentucky once a year of so. I miss being up there of course, but don't know if I could handle the winters anymore. I understand better than most the frustrations of being a Kentucky football fan, so it's nice to see them have a good year every now and then; I really like the new coaching staff and think they may be able to make Kentucky football more of a factor in the SEC. What part of the state are you from?

I have lived in Louisville all my life but am NOT a Louisville fan. The 80s were tuff on a teenage UK fan in Jefferson county.....Losing the dream game, 2 ul championships and then uk probation.....once Pitino went to Lil Bro it pretty much took it to the next level. Some of my closet friends are UL fans and the banter between us all is a lot of fun. If we can keep Stoops, brown and murrow for a while we could actually be relevant. Give him a year or 2 more and we could be talking about a special year in terms of UK football (8/9 wins). The thing about the UK coaching job is that 6 wins a year equals job security....8/9 wins and they will name a street or build a statue for you. Haha. So these are exciting times right now with football and then the finalle with this years bball team!!! Wow!!! I am not sure if you read or listen to ksr but if you dont you should check it out. Good luck!!! BG

Kentucky sports radio website and daily radio show with podcast. Check it out.

I definitely will and thanks; wasn't aware of it.

Amen HC!!!

I'll be going to the game after all guys!!! I'd been having some bad pain in my hamstring, knee, and buttocks for the last 2 months that they haven't figured out yet and it's been hard for me to take an extended walk. But my son called me today and said basically 'your going', so me, him, and my two grandsons will be there! We will try and pull the Cats through; not for sure about grandsons; their kind of purple and gold, but they know how to hide it around me.
