YTD Results
- 8.3 units ($500 unit)
- $4,150

Took last week off for 2 reasons. I won a lot of $$$ in CFB, MLB, NFL and NHL (all within short period) and finally in the plus side of $$$ (account wise) since Sept. Amazing 14 day period however still posting a negative balance in CFB official plays. 2nd reason is the emotional week of USC/ND so I thought week off from "big" plays was in order to refresh my mind. Oct. 15th I won over 9 units CFB and Oct. 22 I won 14.7 units. SO I am on my way to getting on the plus side in CFB. (was down over 30 units thanks to a 20+ unit loss Louisville) :( Now you know where I stand, so here are my plays this week. I put some of these in yesterday but I am upset I missed out on the +3.5, all books I have went to +3 when I was ready to wager Clemson.

Week 9 plays

5 units
Clemson +3.5 -120 over Georgia Tech (4 units)
Clemson ML +141 over Georgia Tech (1 unit)

2 units
Missouri/Kansas UNDER 54 (oly)

2 units

2 units
Kansas ML +204 over Missouri

1 unit
Southern Miss +7 -113 over NC ST.

What do you think of Oregon State -8 over Arizona at home? Beat them 6 times in a row. Zona is 1-6 and struggling.

Thanks.

I like Arizona and the 8pts. I also give AZ the chance to win straight up. I like Stoops and thought Zona played well against USC @USC.

Stoops named QB Tuitama the starter against OSU. He played well last week and I think he lights a fire to this AZ offense. The strength of AZ is their D with their O holding them back. Tuitama might be the answer. OSU isn't very good defending the pass.

Oregon St. is not very good at rushing the ball but they are an excellent passing team. The strength of Arizona defense is their secondary (tops in Pac10). OSU is sorta 1 dimensional and Stoops is an excellent defensive coach. Easy to gameplan against 1 dimensional teams.

Only thing I fear is QB Tuitama making mistakes on the road. Arizona is much better team than their record shows.

I def. side with Arizona. :)

Thanks for the replies. So the home field in this game doesn't mean as much then? I was thinking that would help OSU considerably but maybe not as much then.

Thanks.

I am hesitant to bet against aTm at Kyle Field. I think aTm has the potential to bust them wide open, just a matter of showing up I guess. GL with that play!

My parents live on the mountain. Few blocks above Brace Park. Ever been to Brace Park? Our street is Mystic View.

Burbank is a great city!

Do yourself a favor if you have not been to RIBS USA yet. It is on OLIVE, take Buena Vista and make right on Olive. The best BBQ Ribs. Baby backs. I have had Ribs all over the country and this place is #1 in my book. Get extra BBQ sauce. You will want to drink it. :) It is my favorite place. It looks like a dump especially with peanut shells on floor. But it is expensive. $22 for full rack. Def. worth every penny! After you go, I want to hear your review! :mj07: But make sure you get exta BBQ sauce. They are cheap on giving it out.

I also go to Alcapulco on Monday's a lot. Cheap margaritas and coupons for dinner. :)

3rd place I frequent a lot is Outback. Get takeout a lot from there. Can't beat the Outback Steak special. :)

BTW Burbank Airport is awesome. Too bad I had to do LAX for the South Bend trip when Burbank Airport is 5min. away. :cursin:

By far Ribs USA is the best...best ribs, best burgers, best bbq chicken!

If you like fish, Rocky's next to Tommy's on San Fernando.

Yeh I used to play baseball at Brace with St. Francis Xavier.

GL on Sat.

Guess you havent been to THE DREAMLAND in Tuscaloosa, huh. It would change your definition of how ribs and a rib joint are supposed to be!!

Will have to try out Rocky's.

I went to St. Francis Xavier. Think it was 1995 I graduated from there. Did you go there? I also played baseball at Brace.

Clemson :thumb:

Clemson has been in every game of the season. Very competitive team and I love putting my $$$ on teams who compete.

Clemson competed well against Miami and prob. should have won outright. G-Tech played @ V-Tech and lost 51-7. Look at head to head matchups. 10/6 G-Tech lost @home to NC ST.. One week later Clemson traveled to NC St. and won 31-10 on the road! Clemson comes into this game with 2 game win streak while G-tech comes in losing 2 of their last 3.

Both teams are about even in power rankings and SOS (Sagarin/Statfox). I think Clemson is the better team heading in the right direction. IMO the program is clearly on the rise. G-Tech I see heading in the wrong direction.

G-Tech is a ship without a captain (Chan Gailey). Same reason I am betting against NC St. this week. I am not a fan of Gailey and think he is a below average HC. I hate betting on G-Tech and I paid the price in Sept. when I lost big wager on them over UNC. Horrible coaching.
I like the Clemson QB and their offense is based on short passing. G-Tech is a defense that loves to blitz and will blitz repeatedly. To beat the blitz you throw short passes. With the experience at QB (Whithurst) and offense tailored to short passing, I think Clemson O will have a lot of success. There will also be a lot of Clemson fans at the game. Around 7-10k. Clemson sold out their allotment.

The visitor in this series series is 5-1 ATS and the dog is 15-1 ATS! Clemson is 8-3 ATS their last 11 games against G-Tech!

An added bonus.......

Clemson is 4-1 ATS and SU vs opponent with revenge (lost to Ga Tech LY 29-25 @Clemson)

Clemson is 1-0 in the second half of the season this season. (10-3 over the last 3 seasons.)

Go Tigers!

So Cal
Hey Scott
I hate that were bumping heads on the Kansas game

If you think the ribs are good at Ribs USA , you gotta go to Woody's on Slauson + Crenshaw. Once your a block or two away you'll be able to smell your way there. It's a take out joint ,looks like a hole in the wall.I swear.
It's not as "friendly" as Burbank but it's so good it's worth.

Adding 3 units New Mexico ML -230 over Colorado St. (pinny)

I actually put this in while ago at -230 but now it is -226. (was -245) I actually have a lot more $$$ on NEW MEXICO ML earlier in week but I "may" buy some of it back. Have to do last minute capping etc. Don't want to lose $hit load of money unless I am 100% sure. But I am def. keeping 3 units on it. So I'll make it an official 3 unit play for official record purposes. I might not be around later today and will phone in my wagers for Sat.

I mentioned in another thread why I love the Lobos. Here is brief write-up before I head out the door.

New Mexico great rushing team with awesome RB (Moore). Colorado St. is a poor rushing defese. Tough to win on the road if you can't stop the run. CSU has struggled with the 3-3-5 defense and that is what NM runs. Another big bonus is CSU is an injury depleted team on defense. Very banged up. Colorado St. has been horrible on the road the last 2 years. Only 1 win in 2 years on the road and that was a "lucky" win too over SDSU. New Mexico comes into this game confident and ready to take make a run in conf. play. I played this BIG!

I have to get $$$ into my betmill account today to take advantage of free 1/2 pt etc. So I won't be placing wagers until later over phone. So won't be able to post until later tonight my exact lines. Also the NM game might come into play how much I wager this Sat. If I lose that, I will be very bummed out.

FWIW, these are my likely positions.

Kansas (very big)
Hawaii
UCLA (might play big)
Georgia
Oklahoma (prob. at least 3 units)
UL-Lafayette

Another FYI. I am not playing it but I think USC 1st half is another solid bet. I thought USC 1st half was solid against Washington and it covered. USC team has great week of practice and is pumped up to "FINALLY" play a home game. Coliseum is sold out and USC is getting record crowds this year. Averaging 91,000 a game. Washington St. is actually a decent club but they are coming into this game banged up a bit. Not good. Their QB can be on fire or make mistakes. If he makes mistakes, USC easily, i said EASILY covers the -17 1h. If WSU QB plays well, then USC still has a decent shot. Offense looked great against Washington (going back to what works) and I think will put up 28pts in 1h. Remember, USC doesn't go for FG's inside 40, so it is ALWAYS 4 down territory.
