Injury update on Georgia.

Starting tailback Musa Smith practiced at full speed Tuesday, while offensive tackle Jon Stinchcomb got limited contact work. Receiver Fred Gibson said he caught a few balls and then was fitted with a smaller cast after practice.

"It's going to hurt regardless," Gibson said. "I've just got to take the pain. I'm going to have to catch the ball with my body."

Athens -- Georgia freshman Tony Taylor could make his first start at weakside linebacker Saturday.

Taylor, from Oconee County High, could replace junior Chris Clemons, who has a severely sprained right ankle. Clemons was on crutches and didn't practice Tuesday.

"[Not having Clemons] is kind of my approach right now," defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder said. "Even if he's able to play, it would be in a very limited role. . . . Tony's very smart for a true freshman. I think he has a good understanding of our system and he's getting a little more physical on the field. I've got a lot of confidence in Tony."

Backup safety Thomas Davis also worked at weakside linebacker.

Leaning towrds:

NC State -10 -- GTech has a lot of problems. NC State has the knack to exploit problems especially on special teams. I don't see this game ever being close.
Kentucky -4 -- very fishy line here. will do much mroe research before jumping on this one.
FSU -10' -- I see a nice recovery game here. I think much of the public will be down on FSU giving a slight edge with the amount of points we must give. Wake is just plain bad. Bowden will have his boys ready to smash a much inferior opponent.
Oregon St. -14 -- The Wildcats will have problems on both sides on the ball here. Don't see this game being within 3 touchdowns.
Auburn -2' -- Auburn is heading in the right direction and will be amking a bid for the West title. Ole Miss is in a downward spiral. Other than the Florida win (caught them off-guard), UM has not recorded a quality win. Auburn should dominate this game.
Boston College +10 -- I have been playing ND most of the year because of their great coach and defense. I am fading them this week looking for somewhat of a letdown game and only win by 6.
Ball St. +4 -- very underrated team in their conference catching points at home.

Heartbreaking loss for my dawgs this weekend. Just another year that we (GA fans) get excited just to fall short of our goal.

I still want to see that SEC trophy coming to Athens!
