Thought for sure this game would be one of those where everyone on this board would be on Clemson

It still may be. It's not one of my favorites from a betting perspective. What say you?

I always enjoy the knowledge you bring in your threads

I'm laying off the side (until I get 8 beers deep on saturday and put something on the Auburn ML) but this is my two cents on it from my season thread:

Auburn - Clemson UNDER... Honestly I'd take anything over 41. Never thought Gus would have teams that's strong suit was Defense but both last year and this year that's the case. Our front 7 is great and reasonably deep. Clemson's OL is supposed to be the bet they've had in a long time so that should be a good matchup. We looked solid on containing a mobile QB saturday. I could see this game ending with a final score close to last year's matchup maybe a 17-14 type game or a field goal fest. Line is currently 5 that I see - if it gets up to 7 I may buy the hook and take Auburn +7.5 because I think our defense will at least keep us within one score.

To add to it - We apparently only ran 7 plays on offense last week and they were "last years plays"... don't shoot the messenger that's just what the message board folk say on our end. Stidham looked rusty in the 1H and gun-shy, held onto the ball a couple times too long, caused 2 turnovers (INT and Sack-Fumble-TD). In the 2H he looked pretty damn sharp. Deciding factor in whether we cover/win I think is two matchups:

AU DL vs. Clemson OL - Does Bryant play well under pressure. he had no pressure whatsoever last week and our DBs are pretty solid. We've gotta contain him and get off the field on 3rd downs

AU QB/WRs vs. Clemson DBs - We're not gonna be running it down their throat their front 4 is legit, and our co-starting RB pulled his hammy last week in the open field  . We didn't have Kyle Davis (best WR) last week bc he was on drug suspension. He's back this week. Darius Slayton is solid and Eli Stove / Nate Craig-Meyers were very highly rated coming out of HS but haven't had too much of a chance to prove anything.

It's a tough game to bet on a side and I'm not sure anyone acting really confident in one side could really claim they weren't biased for one reason or another considering last year's game +/- what each team lost and gained in the offseason. We had a shit show of scout team QBs playing for us last year and still had a chance to win.

Huge score before half for the Cats. I'm hitting them 2nd half again - it's where they shine
