WEEK ONE NCAAF

LBD.. I mean no disrespect when I ask the question
as to why you like Ohio State to cover week one vs. Akron. I am a big fan of theirs, but a bigger fan of making money via information provided from experts like yourself.
At this juncture, the quarterback spot is far from being settled, and part of the controversies stem from the different styles each of the four candidates bring to the table. Combine that with a brand new coach with no offensive experience and a holdover staff that includes the worst offensive line/offensive coordinator in America (Jim Bollman), along with the ultra conservative, vanilla flavored DC in Jim Heacock, and so many new faces on both sides of the ball, I am curious as to why you would consider OSU a play.

Again, I mean the best of intentions, and I know Akron is MAC, but 33, just not sure. Thanks for your efforts.

Akron shouldnt even be on the same field with OSU.. I made this a small play because of the qb situation... Akron will be lucky to put up 7 in this game... OSU should be up by 28 by half time... I show OSU by 40+... gl with whatever you choose... :toast:

Ok, LBD, fair enough on the OSU vs. Akron game. I understand the logic of the talent gap being extremely wide. I have always appreciated your picks and will consider OSU. At the same time, I still believe with the multitude of problems they are facing, they may or may not be a solid play throughout the early part of the season. Thanks for your reply.

Ohio State always does seem to blow shit-tier teams out of the water and end up winning 40+ to single digits. The times I remember them not covering big spreads is against lower-tiered big10 opponents like Illinois/Indiana it seems like.

I agree... All last year when they were 20+ favorites they were covering the spread by halftime... I expect somewhat of the same outcome in this match up... :0074

Actually I rarely play future bets.... imo its hard to get a feel for a team until a few games have went by... which is why I keep my plays small until about the 3rd or 4th week...
