Week One Plays

Going to try to pay less attention to work and more on handicapping this fall! Actually, I am going to post plays in college and the NFL based on a 1-10 unit scale and will try to limit the number of games. There are a lot of attractive dogs on the board this week, so I will start with a big dog on Thursday.

UConn +23.5 over Central Florida (4 Units) - Don't believe this team should be laying this many points on the road. The Huskies put some points on the board last year at UCF and I think they will do enough of the same this year to keep it within the big number.

New Mexico State/Minnesota Under 49 (1 Unit) - Clock should move in this one...play against the steam.

Wake Forest/Tulane Under 56.5 (2 Units) - Surprised this popped back up but the offenses have question marks so let's go against some more steam.

Northwestern +7.5/Michigan +7.5 (3 Units) - I like both teams outright...so the number is great.

Thanks, Hawkeye...I was with you on the Wisconsin total last night but just not sure that team is going to be explosive enough to rack up points. Hornibrook still looks like a right handed kid trying to throw the ball left handed.

Oregon State/Ohio State over 36.5 First Half (5 Units) - I don't think there will be any coaches on Ohio State's sideline today whose medication will cause them to forget how to score big and run up a score on the Beavers. Oregon racked up 52 in the first half of last year's finale and this could look similar.

Ohio State - 24.5 over Oregon State First Half (3 Units) - Not the greatest number but should not matter...I'll take a run at the quarter line as well most likely.

Texas/Maryland over 55 (3 Units) - Believe both teams will put some points on the board and a lot of plays will be run.

UNLV +26 over USC (3 Units) - Big number for a classic lookahead game.

West Virginia -9.5 over Tennessee (4 Units) - Rough year in Knoxville and the Mountaineers will be able to score in bunches.

James Madison +13.5 over NC State (2 Units)

Akron/Nebraska over 54 (3 Units) - This makes sense but just a little hesitant with the Nebraska QB situation.

FIU +13 over Indiana (2 Units) - Don't understand the Hoosier love.

South Dakota State +13 over Iowa State (2 Units) - Great FCS school should not be getting double digits.
