Sept 14-16-

HSF Degen.....

Not a tremendous card on tap for this weekend in HSF... There are 2 games posted so far, and I'm a bit surprised that there are bigger games going on, but no lines... Hmmm... Well let's work with what we have on the plate.

Fri. 7pm
Parkway, LA +23 Pulaski Academy, AR (74')

This is a Border Battle that is the nouveau competition to showcase the better teams from the states that share borders..... In this one, we have Arkansas vs Louisiana... It appears to be the first meeting of 2 state power representatives... Both have storied history and both teams have a very active following.. Of course, this will be televised.

Parkway Panthers of Bossier City, LA enter the contest 1-1 after opening with a W against Washington 35-8 but were dealt a rude blow to Pearl High (50-27) out of MS in another Border war event... In 2016, the Panthers were 11-2, 12-2 in 2015, and 8-2 in '14.....They are currently ranked #5 in Class 5A in LA... and ranked #12 in the state overall.... The team has state titles in their history... Last year, the team was thrashed in the quarterfinals 61-21 to the eventual state champs, Landry-walker.... The team wants to avenge the loss, however, they will need to do it with a new skipper at the helm... HC David Feaster accumulated a remarkable 59-17 record in 6 seasons... Feaster was fired in the off season by the Principal D Bates, who cited the HC for insubordination and for bringing too much negative publicity to the program... This stemmed from an incident during the season in which the HC banishes all Alabama Coaches from practices and games.... This obviously didn't sit well with school alum and parents, as many attended the University and of course wanted their athletes to become part of the Tide... The program became a hot bed for morning talk shows and garnered National attention... Defensive Coordinator, Neil May took the HC job and there is a positive buzz surrounding the team despite the crazy off season....

The 2017 version is a loaded roster and there doesn't seem to be any ill effects from the Coaching fray.... There are several returnees on both sides of the ball.... Parkway will rely heavily on the high flying profile between return QB Justin Rogers and WR Terrace Marshall.... Last season offense averaged a very respectable 42.5 ppg... As in everything with the pigskin, the QB Sr J Rogers (6'4" 205 lbs) had 167 of 254 pass completions for 3,021 yards w/31 Tds and 789 yards rushing w/11 more TDs in 2016 and looks to add considerable numbers when he targets a true 5 Star WR recruit, T Marshall Jr. the Sr caught 55 passes for 1,250 yards w/ a mind-numbing 15 TDs...... Both are headed to Major Colleges, Rogers was recruited by numerous programs (Arkansas, Baylor, Georgia, Kentucky, Arizona, Ole Miss, Fla ATL to name a few) but appears to be committed to TCU to be a Frog.... Marshall is the Nation's #8 overall WR recruit and also has a plethora of offers, but isn't decided.... Joining him will be Sr Eric Williams, who had 100 carries for 769 yards w/13 TDs and caught 28 passes for 307 yards w/3 more TDs..... *Rogers will continue to show his worth as a Dual Threat and opposing teams better recognize that he was the teams leading rusher in '16 w/789 yards......Also, he was awarded the I-5A District MVP ly.

On Defense, the Panthers were the fortunate recipients of a couple of transfer students that came from a South Carolina Power, Berkeley High.... Sr Israel Mukuamu had 63 tackles ly and broke up 7 passes w/1 int and 2 forced fumbles .... He is a load at 6'5" 190 lbs.. Built like a LB, he can step into a LB position or drift into Zone Cover as a SS or CB (supposedly plays WR too)(offers to several schools, however, already committed to FSU) .. Sr LB David Morales, had 110 total tackles, including 14 for a loss w/3 forced fumbles w/a recovery and 2 sacks... The D line is strong with a couple of Div 1 recruits to plug gaps...... 2016 Defense allowed 25 ppg but held 8 of their opponents to 20 points or less....

Pulaski Academy Bruins are hot out of the gate with 2 fairly easy Ws body slamming opponents to the tune of 115-41........In 2016, the team was 13-1 with a State Title, inn 2015 Bruins were perfect with a 14-0 record w/State Champ., 2013 was more of the same 13-1.....The program has won last 7 League Championships, and has secured 3 consecutive State Rings.... HC Kevin Kelley is a hard man to play for as he demands perfection... He won the 2016 All-USA Coach of the Year Award... This team is currently sitting just outside the Top 25 National Rankings, although, it is #1 in all of Arkansas, and in the 5A Rank.... In Kelley's 15 years as a HC he is 167-25-1, and his squads have made it to the State Semis in 12 of those seasons while walking away with 6 crowns in 8 attempts.... (*He's actually been at Pulaski 20 years serving as an assistant).... Last years prolific offense is pretty much returning everybody from a offense that produced 48 ppg...

This high flying offense was led by Sr QB Layne Hatcher already has 3 State Titles under his belt... He's a competitor at 6'1" 185 lbs, ly he blistered opposition to the song of 278 of 430 pass attempts for 4,656 yards w/58 TDs... An example of his talent was Week 1 game against Sand Springs where he threw for 6 TDs to 4 different WRs and 1 rush TD (He also kicked 3 extra points and completed 2 conversion passes)... Obviously he has attracted numerous Div 1 Power Conference Schools from Oklahoma St, Purdue, Ole Miss, UCLA, Alabama, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Arkansas St, LA Tech, Samford) to name a few (still undecided)... **Big Note of Interest: Pulaski Offense might be one of the most unique schemes in HSF.. HC Kelley has a NO PUNT philosophy which means it could be 4th and 20 anywhere on the field and he will go for it.... He also utilizes a whole bag of tricks that include Rugby Style Laterals, Onside Kicks, Going for 2 on the Xtra Points, All sorts of formations (ie: Wildcat),... This is their identity and it often leads to dizzying offensive numbers like Hatcher in that 1st game scored 47 of the 59 points...

Teams are forced to study a multitude of schemes and formations and you never quite know what is coming at you...in addition, Hatcher has some outstanding athletes to throw or lateral to;. WR Trajen Johnson (6'2" 190 lbs) he caught 46 passes for 928 yards w/14 TDs he is fearless across the middle) He has several suitors calling including most of the Ivy League Schools...... TE Henry Hudson (6'5" 225 lbs) is the #4 TE in all of the country for the Class of '19 (Penn St, Wisconsin, Stanford, Arkansas Ole Miss, have all shown interest) As a Soph, he had 28 catches for 311 yards w/3 TDs. He will also line up as a WR in Coach Ks wacky offense Henrys older brother Hunter is a FROSH All American at Razorback U)....also had another older Bro, Hayden, that started for the Razorbacks as a LB........ C Luke Jones (6'6" 294 lbs) is a Class of 2018 top C in Top 5 in the Country (has had Dartmouth, LA Monroe, Texas) all showing interest...

Last year, the Bruins ran into a buzzsaw playing East out of Salt Lake City, who is always highly ranked in the Nation......losing 37-23...QB Hatcher feels like the team learned a valuable lesson in that game...... It appears they learned that when the crossroads of talent, desire, and hard work intersect on the gridiron, magic can happen...

Played 4 units on the Over 74'........ WINNA Both teams should be able to light up the scoreboard and I think this one should safely be played into the 80s or more.... I feel like Pulaski will win going away, however, I'm not really enthused about dropping -23 on the team from Arkansas.....Think I will sit back and be amused by this innovative offense of the Bruins..
Gl

*Note: I have Handicapped the Narbonne Harbor/ Centennial tilt for Friday but I can't take a side until I know more about Huskies QB T McKee who is still nursing a injury to his ankle from the IMG game... Hopefully will know more soon

I played the wager as well...I am going to make a few calls and see what I can find out...I worked and coached in that area for a number of years...I'll let ya know what I find out.

I just got off the phone with a guy, he is going to make a few more calls and try to get back to me tonight...The info he did tell me was that the top wideout who was headed to TCU broke his leg 2 weeks ago...The starting qb got hurt last week and will be out tomorrow night...They will either start a highly touted freshman or will go with their athletic running back...I still lean to your over simply because of the style of play of Pulaski...As soon as I hear back or receive any other info I will get back to ya

This just in from someone very close to the program...Parkway will start Junior Amani Larry, running a wildcat or "wild hog" as they call it in their play book...said they will be doing a lot of QB run type plays...they also demoted their defensive coordinator this week...new defensive guys name is MAY, still waiting for some info back on what he might do...he did say their confidence in their defense is about zero...they know they are struggling...just wanted to pass this info along, you are the master high school capper...let me know if or how this info might affect the game...Also if there is anything in particular about their game plan you want to know that you think would help us let me know and I will do my best to see what I can find...I am still waiting to talk to a couple of head coaches tonight from the Bossier area...think there is some money to be made here as this appears to be fairly sharp information that we are receiving

Excellent information Subcloser..... Certainly isn't much floating around the internet so this information is prime... I'm guessing the new D Coordinator is actually the Head Coach, Neil May, who was given the job after Feaster got booted... Tells me that he knows the Defense really good... I wonder who will be calling the plays?.. I'm thinking that things are onlife ssupport at this school..... Without their stud QB Rogers out I'm not sure how many points we can expect here.... Neil May (New Head Coach) will know his defense but the problem they are facing is this offensive scheme that has a little of everything....... There really isn't a way to prepareaand reading in between the lines by the demotion of the D-Coor. tells me we have a golden opportunity here to lay the - 23 (before this information gets out).... Sounds like Parkway still has a lot of issues (many from the firing of Feaster) and with a key cog out, I just don't see how the Panthers stay close here, add on the lack of confidence and it could be a long night..... This is Great Intel... Thanks...
*Also, don't forget that Parkway lost last week to Pearl by 23....I think a comfortable 30+ point win for the Bruins is the play.....
5 UNITS on Pulaski -23 over Parkway..Good luck to you

Parlayed them

Parlayed them

I played Pulaski to the over... Pulaski is a team I am very familiar with as they have played in the metro a few times and their coach did some interviews on 105.3... They will run up the score if they get the chance. Only concern I guess is if Parkway plays a slow it down type game and Pulaski is not hitting... Just beer money.

I maxed out on the -23...will probly add to it if I can catch it at -24 or better...I should hear more tomorrow about the game but your thoughts are in line with mine...I have a hard time seeing us lose the total and the side here and a solid chance at taking them both

opportunity

Like you mentioned.... Pulaski will run it up if given the opportunity.... They might get to the total by themselves...

Friday Night Lights Game #2.....

Current Line-

Centennial (Corona) -28' Narbonne (Harbor) 67'

What amounts to a Home game for the Huskies is going to be decided on the health of some of its offensive starters... Centennial is one of those teams that manages to stay out of the limelight, especially when there is a plethora of HSF games going on throughout the Southern Section.... While everyone talks about Mater Dei and Bosco, the Huskies actually started the season Ranked in the National Top 10 of pretty much every Ranking that puts one up..... They are the 3rd Ranked team in CA... In 2016, they were 11-2 (losing in the State semis to eventual Champ Bosco (49-47) and almost upsetting non-conference IMG Academy (50-49) losing in the final seconds when they went for 2 for the Win..... In 2014, Huskies captured the Southern section, but lost in the state Open Championship to the North rep. DeLaSalle (28-21)........Thus far, Centennial is 2-1 (the loss to IMG again 40-20), but has pasted its other two opponents with the opener against Pittsburgh (CA) 63-21..and waxing Etiwanda 73-0.....Over the past decade the Huskies sport a 127-19 record w/1 State Title... *The losses last year to IMG and Bosco were from a combined 3 points (only a missed 2 point conversion and a very questionable spot by the officials was the difference of having a Perfect, Undefeated Season and a shot at the National Championship).... The program is one of the most explosive offenses in the USA... HC Matt Logan is one of the best in the nation, he is in his 21st season. Since taking the reigns in 1997, he has led the Huskies to 8 CIF-Southern Titles and since 2002, his teams have averaged at least 40 points per game in each season..... This year, he returns 5 offensive starters and has some unanswered questions with only 3 returners on D..... Centennial is 71-3 in league since Logan got here..... Last years offense averaged 53.8 ppg and gave up 26.3.....the D Secondary will be tested...The biggest strength is the return of 4 OLine and of course QB McKee.

Sr QB, Tanner McKee (6'6" 220 lbs) is the #3 Pro Style QBs in the Class of 2018 and a Top 25 Recruit. Ly he was 203 completions of 280 attempts (72%) for 3,522 yards w/36 TDs and carries a 142.3 QB rating (*Didn't even know they had this for a HSQB... He also carried the ball 63 times for 539 yards w/15 TDs... Just showing off his dual skills... One of the best hookups throughout Southern California will be McKee to Sr Wr Manuel Allen (6'2" 175 lbs) a 4.5 Star athlete going to Nebraska.... RBs, Wrs, and Defensive secondary players will be tremendously inexperienced, however with an experienced OLine led by #9 Center in the nation (Solo Vaipulu 6'2" 280 lbs) is heading to BYU or Utah..... On D, starting DE Drake Jackson (Class of '19 is heading to California or USC, or UCLA. A transfer ILB, Sr Zechariah Holifield (5'11 220) is a tremendous athlete... and has had a couple of offers..

Centennial will only go as far as their QB will take them.... It is unknown if McKee will go Friday Night..... He and a very highly touted Backup QB, (Soph, Shane Ellingsworth, 6'6" 225 lbs) were both carted off the field in the 40-20 loss to IMG.... The 3rd string QB is Sr Arturo Herrero who guided his offense to a 73-0 demolish of Etiwanda... At Centennial, there is always QBs coming up the pipeline..... The 3rd and 4th string QBs for the Huskies would start at most Programs in CA High School FB..... Also, although Centennial has a young team, it is important to note that the JV team finished 10-0.....too.

Narbonne Harbor is recognized as having one of the best Defenses in CA..... The team is ranked #78 in the Nation and #12 in CA..... The City school has a winning pedigree, winning State in 2016, 2015, 2014, 2012, 2011 and has won their league title 5 consecutive years... HC Manny Douglas preaches D first and so far the Gauchos are holding opponents to 14 ppg......... Coach Douglas does recognize though that this will be a tremendous test not to get run off of the field....The team has had much success, going 14-1 in 2016 and 14-2 in 2015....They lost the State Title last year 35-28......This year's squad is favored to win the LA City Section Title as they return 6 offensive starters and 7 on D.... The 2016 JV team was 9-1.....The Starting QB returns this year as does the Starting OLine and several Defensive Starters...

QB Sr Jalen Chatman (6'0" 175 lbs) was 11 of 17 for 262 yards w/2 TDs last week in a 35-14 Win. Last year, Chatham threw for almost 4,000 yards w/52 TDs in the air and on the ground..... He won accolades as the reigning City Section Player of the Year..... Offensively, Gauchos scored 45.7 ppg only giving 10.6......Jr WR Jordan Patterson (6'3" 190) will be a top target, he is a 5 Star recruit..... LB Raymond Scott (Sr 6'2" 220 lbs) is the anchor of the D... He is highly regarded and has multiple offers including most Pac 12 schools like USC, UCLA, Arizona Oregon, Washington, Nebraska and others *Unfortunately, last week his mother passed away and the Coach hasn't heard a word and missed last week's game, so he's kinda a unknown at this juncture.... Kicker, Edgar Ramos is a very competent kicker with offers too.....

Narbonne is 2-1 to Date and lost a close one to up and Comer Long Beach Poly 14-10......If Gauchos have their way Friday Night it will be to Win ugly and try to run the clock with a steady ball control offense..... Of course, Centennial wants to pass 70% of the time and score tons of points... If Huskies get out in front it could be a long night..... I was really Salivating over the Over in this game until I saw the injury report..... Im going to hold off until I know more, but if McKee has mobility, the OVER should be golden....... We shall See!

No Play Yet

All guys I talked to today are all on the same page as far as the teams mental state...the line moved to -26 this afternoon which I believe is a good sign...the total has moved in our direction as well...I spoke to someone on staff and they were worried that Pulaski will run it up if they get the chance, they even had a meeting about making sure to keep your composer if things go south because the game was on TV...I have a good relationship with this guy, he knows what I do on the side...most of the time when I talk to contacts like this they are over confident and you have to read between the lines but this guy sounded like they are just hoping to not get completely run out of the fucking building...Feel good about it, think we are on the right side...just debating on should I lay more at -26, I wasn't able to get anything at -24

Good stuff... I think it's definitely the right side here... I can't imagine game planning for a team like Pulaski... I coached several years of high school football and never faced a team that refuses to Punt.... I'm excited tosee the offense in action... Thank you...

Played:

3 UNITS on Centennial Huskies -NY 28' over Narbonne ...... WINNA

After spending the afternoon trying to ascertain the status of McKee, I finally talked to my partner who has a ear for football in the southern section..... I told him I was leery laying the wood without the starting QB..... He reminded me that Centennial (CC) was on a different level... Said there is little chance Narbonne can keep pace..... Evidently in last week's game against Etiwanda, McKee could've played but Coach Logan felt another week's rest on the ankle would have him ready for tonight.....Logan wants what's best for his athletes and in Tanners case, being on National TV is a huge publicitypush ffor the kid.... As my buddy reminds me ("that's why God invented tape")......... *He also reminded me that Centennial dismantled last week's opponent Etiwanda 73-0....What iisn't really broadcasted about that game was the score was 42-0 in the 1st qtr.... Score was 59-0 in the 1st Half.....Huskies had 3 Tds in the first 3 minutes.... The 3rd string QB Herrera passed for 2 Tds and ran for another one in the 1st half, he had 9 for 90 yards rushing and 7 for 17 for 185 yards through the air leading team to 474 yards of total offense.... The 4th and 5th string Qbs ran the 2nd Half... (says that t he 4th string QB is a gamer (kid named Alvarez) and would start in most programs)..... **Perhaps the biggest caveat is Noone is talking about CC Defense... In last week's gam, Huskies held Etiwanda to 92 yards of offense in the 1st half and caused 4 turn overs in the 1st qtr.... Etiwanda scored 98 points in first 2 games but were totally outmatched in this one..... Centennial D held Etiwanda QB T McDonnell to 5 of 17 passing for 43 yards and 2 ints......

Narbonne is in for a long night no matter who calls the plays... My friend seems to think that both Qbs (Mckee and Mikaele will be good to go).... Narbonne is playing under expectations.. And while Gauchos held 2 name programs to 2 tds in each game (Poly and Serra) this offense is on another planet that they will face..... Lay the heavy price

I love the sportsbook...

I love the sportsbook...

Not allowed to parlay high school games now... I have the Pulaski and Over hooked from earlier in the week... but just went to parlay the 2 faves tonight for 20$ and I get a message that they are not allowed to be parlayed together.

I love the wide variety of lines I get from 5dimes but man I wish other books carried FCS lines.

Yep...no parlays within the same game for the past 5+ years...I was also capped at $100 @5ds, had to wait for the line to move to Wager more

It looks like

I could not parlay the 2 games but they allow parlays inside... so Pulaski and over but not Pulaskia and Centennial...

Just weird shit...

Yeah we all have the 100$ limits on FCS and High school games... It does not stop me; I still do some damage to them :)

Yeah, I have been a little bit mystified regarding this offense..... I don't think Pulaski is going to call off the dogs either.... Nothing better than complete annihilation of your opponent.... On national TV to boot
