Oklahoma -6 (2x)....there are a lot of people on this board that knows the Big XII better than I, but this is what I see in Texas: a very good team with a great running game, and some extremely athletic players, but ultimately I think they are soft. The Arkansas game showed me this, if you go out there and punch Texas in the mouth, they have a hard time responding. (I do give Texas credit for pulling out the win there). This gives a huge edge to OU. They can match Texas talent wise, and are willing and able to make this a very physical game. And of course, Stoops vs Brown is worth a few points.
Sure OU hasn't been as impressive as they were at this point last year, but let's remember, right after the Texas game was when all of the "Is Oklahoma the greatest college football team of all time" threads started to appear. When it comes down to it this OU team is still one of the top squads in the nation and I'd take them to cover under a td against almost anyone.

GL BM!! Like the plays, BUT be careful with N.Illinois this week. I know Cent Fla is bad, but they did statistically dominate their game vs Buffalo. Score was alittle misleading. I was on Buffalo last week, but I'm on the Golden Knights to cover this very big number at home this week! GL!

Michigan -3 (2x)....I've watched all of the Minnesota games this year, and one thing has held true in all of them --- the secondary can be beat and will give up big plays if your offense is competent enough to exploit it (I say this because Penn State had so many chances last week to hit guys downfield and Mill's couldn't put the ball within ten yards of them). I have talked up the Minnesota O line and rushing attack, and stand behind the fact that they are one of the best in the nation, but I am not so sure they will be as potent in the Big House as they are in the Metrodome. They run up and down the field on the carpet but I think they'll be slowed down when they come outside. I'm looking at the the latest coaches poll, and am willing to say that Minnesota has the worst defense of the top 25, and are going to have a lot of trouble dealing with the Michigan recievers. Minn's second road game of the year, and they historically are not nearly as good on the road as they are at home. Could be another shoot out like last year, but I'll take the home team with the much better defense to pull this out.

I like the Washington St play. Looks like we will be head to head in a few of these games as my early leans are to Minny and Texas. Have a good weekend!

Cheers

Kansas State -2.5 (2x)....Kansas State has won this state rivarly matchup 11 times in a row, with a scoring differential of 460-97 (average margin of victory 33 points). Last year K State started vs slow and went on a run of 7 straight wins, and while I don't think they are nearly the team they were that won the Big XII title, they are still much better than Kansas. Final scores in last four meeting have been 42-6, 64-0, 40-6, and 52-13. Kansas might not lose that bad, but I don't think either team has changed so dramatically for Kansas to actually be able to break their losing streak in this series.

GL on your plays this week Blackman. Like the OK play. Leaning toward Mich and Wash St. Saw NIU play the Zips last week - explosive! Have a nice little team this year improved even more with the return of Haldi. Sheldon is a stud receiver and on returns. RBs are quicker than quick -- BUT that's a lot of points to give on the road. This game jumped out at me but that's usually the ones that bite me in the azz. Pass for me. GL2U :)

USC -6.5 -118 (2x)....simple revenge play. I've was hoping Cal would light up the scoreboard so the line would be lower and things worked out. Don't get me wrong, I respect the Bears offense, but the defense that showed up during the 2nd half of the Stanford game for USC was the best I've seen all year. I expect that level of intensity all game on Saturday. Chow had two weeks to prepare for this one, so the offensive gameplan will be as good as you're going to get. If USC's talent, coaching and heart are as good as I think they are, we will see the Trojans hitting on all cylinders Saturday.

i have n.ill......i bought some cushion....but,still think cent fla is an undermanned team...regardless of the fact that o` leary is the coach, this just isn`t the same caliber golden knights we`re used to seeing.......many think we`re way off here....i`ll stay on it...

like k.st....and i`ve seen a couple solid arguments(including yours) forcing me to look at mich-3.....i can see braylon edwards having his way here...

somebody brought up syracuse +20....i think with an inexperienced qb for fla st and playing in the dome that the `cuse might be worth a look with the big number...

much luck...

Best of luck to you buddy....Love the USC and Okie plays and I am temtped to take Michigan also....Michigan giving up 47 rushing yards a game against this rushing attack...I think their corners are good enough to play some 1 on 1 bringing more up front to stack that line.....Hope ya sweep the board

Nice write-ups Blackman ... I am still not sure about Oky -7 but I like the rest.

I also think Gardenweasel is correct in that Syracuse at home in the dome getting +20 might be worth a look.

Passing on that NI/CF game ... those are 2 teams that consistently screw me.

Good Luck buddy!
