The media and hollywood aren't liberal? Really?

Did you miss this article on Yahoo from last week?????

http://news.yahoo.com/s/dailycaller/20110606/pl_dailycaller/thedcbookreviewprimetimepropaganda

Everyone knows how liberal Hollywood and the Media is... but as usual, the liberals are too busy using profanity and name calling to actually open their eyes and see it.

I'm still surprised Weiner didn't blame others for what he did. I also want to know how much he paid his wife to stay with him.

If she does, it says a lot about how weak she is. She has less than 3 years of emotional investment with him, and they have no children. And he basically cheated with 6 women.

I don't know of any women personally that would stay with a man after that. Maybe your wives would, I don't know. But she is very weak - but I give her credit for not coming to the press conference and standing by his side, acting like she condoned her actions.

Interesting that not a single Democrat has come out publicly and denounced this. Which, by being silent, means they condone this behavior. But this is the party of Charlie Rangel, isn't it???? :00hour

mags,
We both know that you are not a bright man. To say that the media has a liberal bias is a joke. As for name calling, you act like you are innocent. How many times have you lost it on here? Happens all the time.

It just blows my mind that people are still blind about the media control on this country. Some of you are so fucking brain washed. This is not a left and right issue.

Doing well, Wease, thanks for asking. Completely cancer free after the surgery (0 PSA), and am recovering nicely. Definitely have the side effect issues of the leakage (which is getting a lot better, but still happens when I exercise or overexert myself) but that should continue to improve and hopefully go away soon. Since this thread is "anti-Weiner," I'll leave out the other side effect, and say I'm hopeful that will work out in time.

All things considered, it was a tough time but has worked out very well in the important ways. I completed an 18 credit spring semester with a 4.0 GPA while working for most of it and recovering from the surgery for half of it, so that was all good (tough, but good).

Most importantly, I've returned to the softball field, been able to drink plenty of beer before, during and after without pissing myself in front of my legion of fans, and I assume chicks still dig me...

:0074 :toast:

:00x12

that is great news,dude....gotta think it kind of puts things in their proper perspective...everything else is gravy...

couldn`t be happier to hear the good news...:toast:

Mags, I don't know if any democratic legislators have come out against Weiner yet or not - much like Republicans initially handled Craig, etc. But you mention the liberal media - and they were certainly on his case and ridiculing his behavior and not resigning. At least when I was watching it early afternoon... Matthews and his pundits were all over it, for one group...

What I heard today is that Boeher immediately asked Peter Lee to step down, once news came out of his sending a picture naked from the waist up to one woman. And Lee did step down and resign the same day.

Interesting that Pelosi hasn't done the same thing - when Wiener did much worse - more women and totally naked pics.

This will make great election commercials for the Republicans - show a picture of Lee and show that he stepped down - and then show Wiener, and what he did, and show he didn't step down.

Then they can starkly show the difference in class and values between the parties. It will make a difference to the independent voter. They can use this is every race - as an example of what you get with a Democrat.

If Pelosi was smart, she'd demand that Wiener step down immediately and cut her losses.

Come'on Spongie, you are smarter than that. That is old news. And, as Charlie Rangel showed, ethics investigations don't mean anything. They find out all the bad things you did and slap you on the hand. Big deal.

Pelosi should have some balls (maybe just use the ones she has) and show the Dems have some class and just tell Wiener to step down now.

He is a POS and does not belong representing any American.

Comparing an ethics investigation to actually stepping down as a man with ethics would actually do? That is priceless.....

Oh yea - you are probably the only person in the country to stick up for Pelosi, the most hated politician in the country....

Which shows again how messed up you are.

Now that's just plain funny, Maggot.

Last election Pelosi won with 80% to the republican's 20%.

It would appear that the voters in her district absolutely adore her.

What some dipshit like you thinks is of no concern to Ms. Pelosi at all. :142smilie

And, nationally, Pelosi has the lowest approval rating of any politician - by far (of course, they haven't updated it after the Wiener scandal).

So, I think this says more about the weirdness in SF, which you seem to fit right into. Leave it to you to back someone that the whole country hates.

Funny thing is, here in SF, she is mostly hated for being too mainstream, and not ending the war etc. Still she wins, because who else are they going to vote for? The Republican candidate is usually some no-name, and San Francisco is only like 15% Republican.

Regarding Weiner. I don't understand why we even care about the sex lives of our politicians. 50% of them probably have affairs, which is probably about average for married guys. It just shows they are horny, stupid-ass fuckups like the rest of us.

I'd rather have them be sex maniacs than sell our country to the highest corporate bidder. Sad thing is most politicians probably do both.

We have similar views on this, and many other issues for that matter. Their sex lives should be left alone imo, but sending illicit unsolicited texts, if that is in fact the case, is against the law. Breaking the law should not be tolerated of elected officials.

Very true, and honestly the fact that he lied about it initially and made some lie up about hackers, is a horse of different color. He is in it for himself, just another egomaniac.

Here is something to think about - it has been widely reported that he called one of the girls for his phone sex chat (I think it was the NV blackjack dealer) from his congressional office phone.

So, if it is proven that we was doing these things using his employer's (government) resources, what should happen to him?

Put another way - if you were sending emails and texts of your naked body, while representing yourself as an employee of the organization you worked for, how long do you think you'd stay employed? I'm guessing some of you union folks would be ok, as you would be impossible to fire, but anyone that works for a private employer would be fired immediately for doing this on company time, as a representative of the company, using company resources.

Do we really think, just because he's a democrat, that his employer should give him a free pass when any other "company" would fire him immediately?

Seriously, WWYED? (what would your employer do?)

seriously...you`re a very high profile congressman....a sort of point man/attack dog for the democratic party...a bomb thrower... ...and you`re considering running for mayor of n.y....

you`ve been married for roughly a year to one of hillary clinton`s top aides...you`re basically a fricking newlywed..

earlier this year a republican pulled a similar stunt and he`s gone...it`s basically faded away...no longer an issue because the guy is gone...

did any of this dissuade weiner?....

just how stupid is this guy?....does anyone really want this idiot representing them?....do the democrats really want this albatross hanging around their necks?...he has no credibility...his days as a hatchet man are over...

what if his account had actually been hacked by say,the chinese?....after all the lying, can anyone say that this clown isn`t a national security risk?...

if i were a dem,i wouldn`t want this moron anywhere near congress...
