Okay, seeking a little feedback here...

Can anyone remember a crazier start to an NFL season or is there just a bit of hype and over-reaction?

Certainly scoring is up; no denying that. Have read some good thoughts on why, would appreciate a few others...

And has parity reached a level now where the dogs are just crying out to be backed even more than in the past?

Hard to stay sane some days :spotting: :jump: :Yep: dance2

I really don't see this season as being any stranger than the past with the only exception of last night's game. That was one for the ages. Had a strong feeling about the Ravens but could not bring myself to take them after being burned by Cincy two weeks in a row.

The NFL has achieved exactly what they were after as far as parity goes (or very near it anyway). The only exception here is Cincinnati. They shouldn't even be in the league.

Don't really have a good feeling on why the scoring has been so high. Would like to hear more opinions also.

I echo homedog's sentiments. I don't find this year strange.... I find EVERY year strange! LOL Every year we're left shaking our heads saying "How can THEY be so bad, when did THEY get so good??".

Last year it was the Bears going from awful to suddenly being world-beaters (lucky or not). 49ers rose from the ashes the year before last and now hardly anyone remembers just how bad they were. This year it looks like it's the Chargers, and I'm not sure everyone saw that coming.
