I think we get it by now. You didn't fall for his act. A lot of people didn't.

But only a select few made his honor roll, Matt.

yyz's only here to not disappoint!

Quick question, who really cares who fell for worm's act? So he pretended to be someone he isn't on the Internet. Is that new? People that don't have much to say often make up stuff to make them seem like bigger shots than they are. I could care less if every single one of the posters on here are plumbers from Jersey living in trailer parks. It would be a big trailer park though.

Some people want some credit for sniffing out the worm. Cudos to all who did, but I still bet you tuned in to Worm when he was hitting all of his smashes at the beginning of the year. I know I was.

Worm is a tool, and has been found out. Woohoo! I wonder how many people on here have exaggerated the truth or fabricated completely to make themselves look better. I could care less, it is all just part of the dog and pony show that entertains us while we wait for the next pick.

To all those that never fabricate, props to you for having enough of a life to not have to lie. When I was broke in college, I would have probably lied too on this forum. Some of the chit Worm said about death and friends and war service was demented, but he will get his one day. Tools always do.

How much less? That's what I always ask. How much less could one care?

That's where guys like you and Kosar are wrong. I don't think anyone wants credit for sniffing him out, as much as they don't want to be lumped in with the ones who fell for it. Not quite the same.

Worm isn't the only one, either......just the biggest offender.

Really? You really think that way? You get through life on lies, rather than thought, word, and deed? I have about as simple of a life as anyone will ever have, jack, and you know what? It's enough!

I don't need the adoration of a bunch of "ghosts" on a bulletin board in cyber space. Not from telling tales to them. Some day, you might want to actually meet the nice guys that frequent this, and other places you go to on the web. What then? Keep all your lies straight, or just become the "ghost" that you made of yourself, and never go to the meets? Much easier to just be you in the first place, don't you think?

How can your life be so shitty, that you need to make one up on the Internet to "live"? Wow!

Yeah, a lot of the guys around here chuckled their hides off when I told them that I made $25 and $50 bets. I shrugged it off. Like I said.....I live pretty simple. Thing is......at the end of the day, when my head hits the pillow, I sleep pretty well.

I don't have to worry about what lies are going to be figured out tomorrow, and the bills are paid.......even the $20 bets made without so much as a handshake.

Not sure what I was 'wrong' about. My point was that we saw it the first 8 times when you mentioned that you didn't fall for it. I didn't mean to imply that you wanted to take credit or were so proud that you didn't buy his act. I was just curious why you feel the need to post in every recent worm thread, that you smelled him out. We got it, bro! :)

I agree with all you said yyz, but I think you misunderstood my point about 3 things.

1. I don't think it is OK to lie to make one's self look better. I don't think it is ever OK to lie, period. It is true, however, that people feel better when someone looks up to them or pays them attention. Just ask Scott. The point was that now I am a man, and not a boy, and I don't see my life validated by the opinions of others. If I was still as immature as I was in college, I might not have cared about a bunch of people I have or never will (in most likelihood) meet. As I believe you feel the same way. I agree that "how can someone's life be so shitty that they have to fabricate everything". But such a person will justify it by saying no harm, no foul. (Dam, interpersonal communication classes in college)

2. I wasn't just harping on the ones that did "sniff" out the worms, but I was harping on the ones that didn't also and actually are mad now that they found out he was full of chit. What I meant is that people cared whether or not he was telling the truth or not about his personal life. Whatever lies he tells is between him and his maker. All the concern that was given to worms for the made up hardships that they incurred, was just that, given. If one gives sympathy and well wishes to someone, it was because someone meant it to that person in sincerity because one is a good person inside. Even though it was all made up BS, the gift should be in the giving, not grief because there was no real receiver.

3. I should have typed "I COULDN"T care less". That would have appeased your analytical and/or grammatical filters a lot better.

We are all human here and I, for one, think we have all made mistakes. And most of have made worse ones than leading on a forum, even in disgusting ways such as worms'.

I hope this clarifies my opinion to you yyz, and thanks for caring what I think enough to resonod. :mj14:

Most of his lies were harmless......but the Chit about fighting in the Gulf War and losing his eye and "the angry bitter black men" he served with. Others bought that BS and defended him against Brianz and XYZ. That's where the liars are not "harmless"
