Well its official I resign my backing of the republican party

Well I have been on the fence for awhile about continuing to back the republican party. I very rarely talk politics since I feel it is like religion. Everyone has a view and theirs is always right no matter what. But as of Friday enough was enough. And by the way I have been a Republican my entire life. And rest assured I am not heading to the Democratic side either. I feel both of these parties have damaged this country in ways that is has become a disgrace to the real working class of this country.

A gentleman knocked on my door the Friday about the upcoming elections. Well low and behold he was from the Republican party. He gave his spew and then I wanted to talk about Mr. Foley. Well low and behold his response blew a gasket with me. He talked about Clinton, he talked about this and that and how the Republicans forced Mr. Foley to resign etc. But when I asked him why they ask him to run for re-election years ago and they knew of his sickness he had no-response. I asked him again and he still gave no response. I proceeded to tell him how I have 2 daughters and am enraged at how any and I mean any adult male could ever harm a child or even attempt to do the acts that this man had done or was attempting to do. let alone a perosn in office.

This jackass proceeds to walk away. Well I wasn't finished yet. I followed him for nearly 2 blocks to his vehicle all the time yelling how his party supports pedophiles, and how sick even party leaders must be just to have a seat in office no matter how much damage he has tried to do to children and minors. Many of the neighbors came outside during this verbal assualt. I continued to yell that the Republican party supports pedophiles. He finally arrived to his vehicle got inside and sped away. Needless to say I don't think he will be back seeking my support ever again nor will he get it.

I will join the libretarian party this coming election. You can count on that. It is time for a change.

i think what you have is spreading...more & more people are getting sick with what is going on in wash......

i got fed up with both parties awhile back & now am a regisitered independent.....& vote on the issues that i think are important...except this year where i will sit this election out. i'm really disgusted with the politicans......from bush on down..especially my 2 senators where one is willing to sell his credibilty out for a few votes (mccain) & the other (kyle) only wants to enforce certain laws....& i don't want to even talk about about the governor of arizona...who is weak & pathetic.

I don't think solicitors realize how many good normal people they offend with their harrassment, begging, and propoganda. This of course comes from both sides.

When I was a homeowner in Las Vegas, I guess I fit a certain demographic the Republicans like. So they were hounding me non-stop leading up to the 2004 election. It was awful. FLAT OUT LIES about Kerry the last couple days - and always from recorded messages - so that I couldn't have my say about the issue.

I probably received about 150 calls from the GOP, and maybe 5 from the Dems. Funny thing is I'd been on the DO NOT CALL LIST. I guess political solicitors are exempt from that.

I said this many times trough out the years and in here. Every time we have one party in power all parts of the government. We will get rubber stamping that leads to poor government and some type of corruption. We the American people are always served better if one branch of government is the opposite party. That's is why we all would be better off if congress does become democratic this election. Time has come. EVEN grid lock can help save us from more spending and corruption.

I think the time is pretty good for a major move of some kind to establish an independent group of some clout. I would think, if nothing else, the money aspect might spur it on. I could see someone like Colin Powell and some other powerful person (maybe a respected businessperson who used to be a legislator) really making some hay. If not in 2008, the following election.

Just seems to make sense. I think there is a growing feeling nationwide of dissatisfaction of what choices we can make. And a movement to give us a new idea could be a big one.

Will have to think about pres for a while but would opt for Lee Iacoca (spl) as vice pres. Gave most powerful speech I ever heard to Chrysler employees many years back. Would be shoe in for eonomics and budget for me--lack of military and foreign relations only draw back for pres.--by the way he is a registered dem but never voted a straight ticket in his life--per his speech.

I sorta don't trust that guy. He was the head of safety for Ford when they released the Pinto. He knew of the safety hazzard with the bumper gas tank, but feared that taking time to redesign would make Ford lose valuable time in getting their econo car on the market. He calculated that a few deaths would be cheaper to settle legally than lost market share. He duped the public and allowed people to die.

I find this post amazing. You would support a guy who never voted a straight ticket but you always do. His lack of military experience is a bother to you but you overwhelmingly support this admistration who time and time again ran and hid from duty. LMFAO ur a beauty.
