They did that on a couple plays and I figured it was some kind of legal thing based on the play call. OSU did it in their NC Game against Florida as well - Has anyone said what they were doing?
i think this is what it is, just the lineman from fsu got it wrong wvu does this has for 6 years , the break down when line thinks deff. has gone offsides or jumping the center snaps the ball everyone on line holds the position, they don't move, you have to have it down pact to do it, qb has ball and goes back a few steps play is blown dead 5 free yards for off. but you need to make sure they jump or touch you then center snaps it with out a count, if you mess up which the one lineman did the qb will be in for a run for his life. have seen it about 12 or so times by a few teams the past 5-6 years. takes a very smart off. line to do this, and a qb who does not panic, because he gets the ball when he does not know it is coming. line man all stay in their stance, this was not the case on that play but was what the 1 lineman was thinking.
