Interesting stuff and you are probably right. The thing that makes me wonder a bit is from all the people I have talked to in the media and scouts with different teams is that Saban would take the Bears HC job if it is open at seasons end and everyone thought Stoops would jump at an SEC program. But it does look like now that Stoops is heading for U. of A. GL this weekend!

master- you hear asu and lsu signed a home and home in football? asu going to BR in 05, LSU to Tempe again in 08, I say again because thats where they are bowling in my opinion this year

I want to play Cal- 10 becasue they are better in all aspects of the game than Stanford. But this rivalry is too bitter to bet on right now, I m leaning Cal but we shall see... Good luck

I agree with you. Oregon St. should beat Oregon. What i do not like betting on OSU is they are not disciplined. Either turnovers or stupid penalties.

CAL -10 i think is also a solid play.

I am glad Arizona hiring Stoops. Arizona is a good program for Stoops to take over and can be turned around. Won't be easy, especially recruiting against Koetter. What is funny, Arizona fans have been saying USC NC run has to go through Arizona, and they are right. Arizona might keep USC out of the NC game because of SOS. So USC needs that program to get turned around.

What do you think of Stoops taking over Arizona?

Also I am glad Chow won't be going there. I heard CHow within the next 2 years, will be recieving another raise to somewhere around 800k a year. He currently makes 500-600k plus he got a 250k downpayment on his home. Something like that, so it looks like it will take a major University to take Chow away from USC.

I also been hearing USC been trying to play LSU next year since Miami wants no part of USC. Some USC scheduling guy said USC fans will be very happy with a team we are playing next year but he did not say who. I think it might be LSU. USC vs LSU game @ LSU years ago was suppose to be one of the greatest games ever played @ LSU. I heard fans still talk about it @ LSU. Although USC came out on top

I think Stoops cant do any worse than Mackovic at UA! To me Arizona will never be a great football power but a name like Stoops could help- its a great hire and I hope Chow stays at SC next year because if ASU has another season like this one, especially with Walter coming back for his senior season at qb, then Koetter will be fired and Norm Chow would be my number 1 choice, unless we can lure Bill Parcells!

I would not want Chow as a head coach if i were you. In my opinion he would be a gamble. He is not a great recruiter, which a head coach needs to be. I know he helped in bringing in BOOTY, but he is maybe the 4th best recruiter at USC. Remember, all this USC OFFENSIVE production is because of CHOW and the great athletes at USC. Does ASU have the same athletes? Will Chow recruit the same athletes? He seems like a quiet guy who would rather not be in the spotlight. How would he handle the media? Question mark. Will you have a good offense? YES. I think if you did hire Chow, you need to hire top notch DC. Sorta what USC did with Carroll hiring top notch OC. Could work. I just don't think Chow is made to be a head coach and maybe he doesn't want to be. He has turned down HC jobs the last 2 years.

By the way, Carroll said he would understand if Chow left and be supportive. Carroll also said if he coached against Chow in a game, he would kick his butt :lol:
