Neoconservatism is a political philosophy that emerged in the United States from the rejection of the social liberalism, moral relativism, and New Left counterculture of the 1960s. It influenced the presidential administrations of Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush, representing a realignment in American politics, and the defection of some liberals to the right side of the political spectrum; hence the term, which refers to being 'new' conservatives.[1] Neoconservatism emphasizes foreign policy as the paramount responsibility of government, maintaining that America's role as the world's sole superpower is indispensable to establishing and maintaining global order.[2]

AR, I agree somewhat, although I do think it's suspect for any politician (and especially in this case) to switch party affiliations immediately after losing the vote. I don't care what party they are/were representing.

And I see what really bothers Wayne about his narrow loss - the person who defeated him was popular with the black folks...

The more things change, the more they stay the same, until they change...:sadwave:

Blame the his advisors for remark--not me

He pretty well hit all the liberals main bases--you picked out one area not me.

"the bunker"
basically what he said was,"in matters of homeland security...and defense...the democrats and obama have a track record that`s dubious at best"(downsizing military, gutting intelligence, accusations against and name calling of the troops, trying to defund iraq, doing everything to expedite defeat in iraq, trying to scuttle gitmo, giving terrorists habeas corpus)....

it`s a mccain strength...one of obama`s(the dems`) weaknesses...

Is a neocon a socially liberal, fiscally conservative individual who is interested in the reduction of

foreign aid, while feverishly advocating a comprehensive energy reform strategy that

includes drilling and refining more now, while simultaneously advancing alternative fuel studies

and expanding our nuclear program?

Not in practice. In practice it is George Bush and his crooked gang. Nation building. Eliminate the middle class. Cooprorate welfare. Big government. But I guess you missed all that the last 8 years.

I didn't miss a thing. Get with the progam or move on, kook. Nowhere in my post did I promote Bush, nor did I advocate anything mentioned in your post. Sponge implied that I am a neo-con. Not knowing exactly what a neo-con is, I posted a small sketch of myself and inquired if I qualify as a neo-con.

You, along with the rest of the partisan ****s around here, must be a pain in the ass to deal with on a regular basis. Thank goodness I have the barrier of cyberspace to protect me. God help your friends --if you have any-- and family.

By the way, I can recommend someone to remove that stick from your ass. You just have to ask....:banghead:

You are not partisan? :mj07: If you don't think neocons are a real threat I suggest you open up your eyes to what is happening to this country. It is people like you that Bush/Cheney count on. But I wouldn't expect anyone of your ilk to want to talk about issues. You are more concerned about personal attacks. That seems to be what works best for the neocons.

Face it, you area closed-minded kook, and I am not.

I vote democrat as much as republican in local and state elections. It so turns out that I have voted republican in all presidential elections since I turned 18 in 1992. Like this year, the presidential candidates of both major parties the past 2 elections have stunk. In this situation, I am forced to vote for the lesser of to evils.

Now I would like for you to get out of my hair, you freakin' kook. I suggest you put your tin foil hat back on and go back to your discussion of how Hugo Chavez is a great friend to America because he opposes Bush and try to figure out the next best way to prevent conservatives from speaking at public events.

As stated numerous times previously,
my main problem with Obama, aside from my growing feeling that he is a liar and a crook like the current prez, is his desire to drain the upper middle class with his absurd tax strategy.
