Nick I think it is good that this forum has so many topics including general discussion. I gives everyone a chance to speak their minds and has something for everyone which I believe was Jacks intentions.--and with viewing records being broke everyday I'd have to say he IE and others has done a damn good job.

Worm44 has been posting winners in here from the time he stepped in the door which is more than I can say for some people around here.

So what if he dont explain why. Some people don't have the eloquence of lets say a Nick Douglas but then provide losers after all the talk is done.

Maybe they can't put it into words, but they have done the work and you just can't seem to repect that.

And even if they did post explanations it just leaves them open for more bashing when people like to jump the losers. And I do it too its a part of it if you are here long enough.

5000 members here? Yes....I suppose, but maybe you need to do some math. How many of those names have posted? Some become members, make a couple of posts, and say, "This is boring." and they are done. You need to face the fact that there are about a hundred or so "active" posters here. The rest are 'fly by nighters'. Plus, those numbers get skewed by clowns like you, Scott. Post, post, post....and never say a word. 80% of your posts are retorts/juvenile slams against other posters using their "quotes". 17% are gibberish started by you, that no one responds to, so you respond 10 times to yourself! The other 3% are posts that actually say something meaningful, or nice. (That is no longer a winning percentage that gives me hope for you.)

Fell into the trap of seeing a number of views, so I had to read the thread. The thread almost had the chance of turning into something interesting until Scott starts personally responding to everyone's individual posts. (Sidenote to Scott - The thread's about handicapping - NO ONE IS TALKING TO YOU!!)

There is still meaningful discussions on handicapping on this site, the posts just happen to come out on Monday through Wednesday, the weekends are picks after picks after locks after "TITFD's". But I'm as much of the problem as anyone else as I've stopped posting write-ups as my picks aren't posted until the weekend and I won't change my mind once the picks have been played.

The information is still here, it's just harder to find and I'll do my best to start posting in threads that have meaningful discussion and stop wasting my time with the Scott's, worm's and S-Love's (12-27-1 - amazing job, Susie!!) of the site.

And as for off-shore gambling, I know enough to know that I don't know anything about it, so I can't help you, Nick.

I have felt this way for a while. I posted this because some of the folks I really respect who I've met through Mad Jack's have commented to me about the same thing. Of course I am not going to name their names. Either you believe me or you don't. Naming names does nothing if you don't believe me.

yyz makes some good points in my opinion. He maintains that 99% of Madjackers are recreational players who are more concerned with having action than making money. This is certainly true. I just think there are a lot of folks who will say they want to win money gambling on sports and for these folks it would probably be wiser to actually concentrate on offshore gambling when they visit offshore gambling forums.

Most of the rest of the stuff on this thread is pretty much garbage. The one other post that I want to comment on is Wilson's. The amount of money you bet has absolutely nothing to do with whether you treat handicapping as a recreation or a craft. There are professional handicappers who play only about $7,000 in a week and squares who bet up to $50,000 per game. I cap my exposure at $500 per day, but I care about that $500 and I am not recreational with it.

I can't believe I am actaully going to agree with you of all people.

At times there are so many new posts in the NFL forum I dont have time to go through them all like I used to.

Fortunately for me I have a special formula that I use to find the best cappers to coattail. That way I cut way down on what I have to read to help me make plays.

When I first came to Madjacks I didnt dare to say anything for a long time so I didn't post much. But I read alot.

Let me tell you when I got up the nerve to post I was attacked by every big dog at Madjacks.

I could list them but you know who you are.

I was bashed, slashed and humiliated with many words in a public forum. Everything that has happened to me in here from the Air Force passing game to the TITFD plays.

I am not sure how I survived that to become what I am today.

Personally I blame you guys for making me half crazy.
