Given the other poll we know what people feel equates to rich. Now let?s see where you think middle class starts. We all know there is upper and lower middle class, just put where you think middle class starts based on annual income.

Guess I should have listed something higher than $80,000

Maybe I should have asked what starts lower middle class income, i thought it was clear:confused:

Above the Clouds....
I guess it would depend on your means. Middle class around here would be about 50k. But there are couples making 200k that don't have as much as the couple making 50k.

So polls are useless.

On the course!
I guess you have to figure a lot of jobs are being driven down to the $10-12hr range in this country.

I would think that a good starting point for middle class would be $18hr, or $36,000 a year. Now, that's as an individual.

Same wave length here--I clicked 30K but liked 35K had there been option. Would think 50K to 60K middle class for husband and wife with no children.

Above figures would be for where I live--I am sure those figures would be hard to live on in CA NY and other places.

Cost of living in different cities is so variable. Middle class in Los Angeles or New York is so much higher than Montana or North Dakota.

Number of kids is a big variable too.

Just a tough question to acurately answer
