What are you getting or what are you giving someone for Christmas this year? I find it hard to find the perfect gift for the people I care about, especially when they already have everything that they need. Maybe this can serve some of us a new and exciting new idea for gifts to give this season! Let us hear what you are giving and what you would like to give someone and then those of us that can not make decisions for oursleves simply "cheat off of your christmas list"!

I went last night and bought my lovely girlfriend a 27" Color T.V. for her bedroom.............So we can watch more Television in the bedroom.:brows:

I also got her 2 children a Playstation 2 Gaming system with 2 games ( Golf and Some racing game! )

But I still have others to buy for............let's see if we can make all of our families and friends happier this year by pooling our efforts in gift selections!

for the first time, the wife and i won't be exchanging gifts this year. nothing at all. we built the house and she got everything she ever wanted (me too) and i'm tapped out. we don't need anything (yeah right!)....so, that's what we decided for this year.

we're going to have a big party though :D

with the kids and the rest of the family, it's business as usual

jack, that's as cheap as you can get that for, it never goes on sale, just 6 months ago my son paid $299 for play station 2, then it drops to $199 3 months after he bought his. the accessories are priced right also. my wife and i will not exchange gifts this year either, we're in the same situation as you, just had our house built in may. no money for us to blow, only on the kids. take care, good luck with the new house

good luck with your new house too, bob.

this is IT for me. NO MORE MOVING!

my new street address is appropriate too. "Ventures End Rd". kinda scarey, huh? :)

back to the subject. Mom just turned 72 in November so I think I'll do my best to make this xmas special for her. not sure what to do for her because she doesn't NEED anything but i'll think of something.

any suggestions?

Got my wife one of those remote car starter outfits last year and Christmas morning she wasn't all that impressed, but now she loves the thing, gets cold here this time of year and having a nice warm car to get into beats running out in the cold to start it, plus she can start it from inside the mall and grocery store and such.
Like I said, now she loves it.

MJ, as far as aging parents, I'm in the same boat as you. Just what do you give to people who have given so much? And, as you say, already have everything? I've already done the photo bit and computer generated poem stuff and I'm tapped out of ideas.
Anyone have suggestions?

P.S. Your mom is a dear lady. Please give her my best! :)

Va Nurse & Jack,

My wife has the same problem with her mother. So at various years she has given her mother gift certificates for a year to the beauty parlor, or to her mother's favorite restaurant, or for gas for her car.

Since my wife is going to school to become a massage therapist, I bought my wife a massage table, & massage oils. I am getting the benefit of her training(LOL).

Anyone asks me what I want I always tell them clothes.

Korn Ive been checking the cameras every day and praying for the same thing. This will be the fourth straight year I've spent New Years there and both mountains have been fully open each time. All I need is one good dump (huh huh you said dump) between now and then, but I have faith in that Pacific Coast weather.

If looking for something to get your parents perhaps a weekend at a Bed and Breakfast that isn't that far away. Another idea is tickets for a show of some sort if you are near a big city. A couple of years ago my brothers for a XMas gift took me to a Redskins football game in San Francisco. Think think think, don't go for the obvious. :look:
