What are your Simple/Common sense fixes for America

Vinnies post on the reduction of congressmen got me thinking. What are some relatively easy things that could be done to improve America? Would prefer this not get off topic or partisan as I would love to hear some things you guys think could be done. Heres a couple of things I have often thought should be done.

1) My biggest bitch is term limits for congressmen. Obvious problem is that congressmen would have to pass it

2) Decriminalize Marijuana. I mean really, does anyone really believe this is working and or that the billions spent (law enforcement, court costs, prisons, etc) is justifiable?

3) Want welfare fine I have no problem with the government giving our dollars to those in need. I would however ask for three things. A) Documentation of citizenship. B) Random Drug testing. C) Proof there is no jobs in the filers? immediate vicinity. Is that really asking too much:shrug:
By the way all these large corporations getting what amounts to welfare should have to answer to the government as well, you don?t want to, don?t take our money!

4) The Border Let me get this straight, we can send a man to the moon. Spend billions bailing out corrupt and inept auto companies, but we don?t have the money or technology to build a fuking fence that can keep people out: shrug:

1) lower marginal tax rates for EVERYBODY....including the rich AND businesses.

2) this will increase revenues to the fed govt(always has) and so, in conjunction raise the pay for all military members

3) offer incentives (tax breaks) for investments

4) start enforcing the immigration laws as they already exist ON THE BOOKS

1. Government childcare instead of welfare for moms. They have to work to get any help. Too many moms can't make enough working to overcome daycare cost so they instead stay at home and do nothing.

a few off the top of my head:

1. Term limits fo sho.
2. Lower our corporate tax rate. Make it appealing for companies to stay here. Currently it stands around 35%, right behind Japan's 39-40%.
3. At some point restructure the tax code and look at enacting the Fair Tax

Another thing that bugs me is taxes. As some have elluded to here, how is a flat tax not the best most common sense approach. We all know that many rich get out of many taxes through loopholes anyway, so why not a 100% flat tax across te board. If you need a little extra to tack on to the "wealthy" then back it up with a luxery tax:shrug:

Here are a few for me
No more foreign aid. If we are broke fuk those other country's.

Throw these rotten fuks in Congress into social security like all of us and enuf of these wonderful retirement accounts they have set up for themselves. Let them drive their own cars and let them buy there own car insurance like the rest of us.

Flat tax. Seems simple. If a guy makes a mil a year he pays what ever it is like lets say ten percent. I make ten dollars a year then i pay ten percent. If the rich guy feels this is unfair because he pays more then i will offer to switch jobs with him if he is interested.

Farm subsidies. This welfare handout needs to be stopped. Nobody handed me money to start a business Why are these people getting money and yearly?

FuK these tax breaks to companies who move over sea's. Wow what a great idea this was. I wonder who came up with it?

Welfare Two kids that is the limit(being kind here). Tie their tubes or some shit to stop it. Its called tough love. Im tired of this shit to but there are bigger fish to fry

im not sure why people are for term limits. Who's fault is it if a guy is voted in over and over again? I rather have a good guy in there for thirty years then some dirt bag every 4 years.

Oh and a salary cap for campaign's. Each guy gets so much and that is it. If u are worth being hired then u will spend ur money wisely. Fuk it make it government funded so it takes out any lobby's or favors for individuals.

3. no death taxes or capital gains tax, this would encourage spending
4. stop illegals from coming across the border

this would be a great start,why do you think people are in need? Can't most people work? unless they are handicapped?

There will always be people in need and while I have little sympathy for a 30 year old adult who choses to be a waste of space, a child can not pick their parents. As long as kids are the mix I will err on the side of caution and if a few rip the system off then so be it. I would say however that I have no problem with taking money from the welfare checks and providing more for state care for kids. If the parent cant do right, yank the kid and cut off the welfare! As long as we are a theoretical capitalist society(which doesnt look like it will be much longer) it is the responsability of the haves to try and help the have nots. It is easy to say do away with welfare, but it is not ethical or practical. Revamp and if done right, it really would not be a burden on the system.
