VEGAS
Have we ever talked about what day of the week is the best to have a higher winning % and which day would be the day the books kick our asses?

Living in Vegas, I sometimes feel that Saturday may be a day that the books try to reel us in. They know there's lots of people in town that probably don't bet regularly and are here to Spend $$$.
I usually want to look at the dogs 1st in the late games, htinking all the losers want to get their $$ back. Most will look to bet the favorites.
It's 1:30 a.m., i'm pretty tired, but there is more to think about on this subject.
Tell me what you guys think about this.Lots of times after capping the games ( no matter what sport) i also think about the mind games involved. You know, if it looks to easy
Anyway i hope we all do a good job this Sat.

I think you're right in large part on that thinking. Weekends or maybe days where there aren't many games, some value is lost on the favorites or games that the public is really expected to be on, but of course in baseball with just needing the winner anything can happen short term, but long term betting will more than likely net the same results as a sport with a point spread in the same situation.

What I'm trying to find, is the results from Vegas or the offshores on how they do day by day as far as profits or losses go in the sportsbooks. Anyone knows if any information of this sort is out there?

I?ve noticed that too. I have better results on Thursdays and Fridays most of the times than on Weekends. Don?t know why though. I guess people who do not gamble a lot pick weekends to put their money on and bookies find a chance to drop the lines for favorites or something?

I think that if you took statistics from the past year then it might tell you that Saturday's were, on average, the book's best day, while Tuesday's weren't so hot for them. Look at stats from the last 3 years and it might tell you something completely different.
Other than the obvious (Sunday's during NFL), I don't think the day of the week you seek will mean tweek.
The books ALWAYS try to reel us in.

If you can find a statistical anomaly in there then you still need to explain it. The weekend is understandable by itself, but if there is a big descrepancy between, say, Tuesday's and Wednesday's, then there still may be no underlying reason for it.

Out of curiousity's sake sure.
How can it help daily line-watchers like ourselves?
