I like the overs in this game as LSU will have to open up the game plan, and Alabama has an improved O from last year. Both should produce scoring opportunities vs last years outcome. JMO :0008

LSU will have to open up the game plan

If the last two games between these teams are any indicator... I'd venture a guess to say that Lester Miles has not had this thought cross his mind at all. Hard to argue against his stubbornness. Opening the game plan up could be a bad thing as well.

Tend to agree here. Hard to see LSU doing anything on offense as over-matched as they are up front on offense. What can you tell me about the overall health/depth of LSU's OL? I know they have been down a few players since the AU game. What's the current lineup as far as what string they were at week 1 and what year each one is?

LSU is down 3 OL, but williford may be back at RG. Frosh have been manning RG and RT most of the season. the RT has played better than the RG, but both show ability to be multi-year starters. Too bad they were thrown into the mix a year early. The LT is a 6th year guard, who is now healthy as he has been all season since injuring his calf week 1 or 2. The C is back after missing time vs Aub. The LG is a 5 star true soph. He was expected to be the baby of the bunch, but turns out he is the only OL in the top 7 to avoid injury this season.

Here in an interesting article on Alabama and point spreads and Saturday night's game at LSU.

Q: You opened at Alabama minus-10, significantly higher than what John Avello did at the Wynn. Avello opened at -7. Why the bigger number?

Salmons: Power rating-wise, the line is definitely above what the number should be. But I can?t get in front of Alabama right now. There are people who try to get in Alabama?s way every week and bet against them. They bet three points against them with Mississippi State, bet them down from 24 to 21. They tried it against Missouri and tried it against Tennessee. And they keep covering.
