So sick of reading this, and its becoming more and more prevelant.

Less and less talking about the game, handicapping the teams, and knowing who the starters are. Tons of talk about line movement and bullshit.

By the time people are done considering who the sharps are on, who the squares are on, who the touts are on, who drove the line movement, what the % are etc, etc they are so mindfucked that I don't think they even remember who's playing come kickoff time. i don't know Dr. Bob from Dr. Spock and I like it that way.

Nothing cracks me up more than reading something from a guy that thinks they are not Joe Public because they frequent a couple of forums. Give me a break, because we are the freaking public.

Not directing this at anybody in particular but Jesus Christ, doesn't anybody just 'cap a game and play the best side anymore?

Mr. Brown, please do not take offense because as stated before, my comments were not directed to only you.

I assure you that I am not a grumpy old man and I agree that we are indeed here to find an edge. Perhaps my wording was a bit harsh.

There was an underlying, unspoken message in my reply. That message is to trust your own ability to do your homework to cap a game. I barely blink at a line move unless it is a very sharp sudden move.
Do not asume that others are any sharper than yourself because if you are diligent in your study of a game you will tend to win more than you lose. When you start to take way too many factors and others opinions into consideration it can only serve to confuse. There are no shortcuts or magic formulas, just a lot of reading and time.That is what it takes to get it done.

Maybe that states it a little better.

Plain and simple.

My first post was not directed at you or anyone specific, its a statement based on the quality of posts and information on site.

Just one example is the amount of posts I saw talking about the starting LT Tyler Holmes being out versus people talking about 'smart' money and 1/2 pt line moves.
