What have we learned from today's games????

I agree guys. Miami plays an incredibly tough out of conf. schedule. They can only play 3-4 out of conf. games so I wish Mr. USC and the best coaching staff in the nation would tell us how Miami can play 14 games so they can play his beloved Trojans???? But then again, Mr. USC has his rose tinted USC shades on where he only sees one team. Wish we could all schedule power houses like BYU and Hawaii for our out of conf. schedule like USC!!

Anthony Davis of Wisky can flat out play. The guy ran between tackles better than other RB today. WV is very well coached with Rich Rodriguez and his building a fine program, so Wisky beat no slouch today. They had to grind it out.

Virginia is for real and not overrated. To play over 3 quarters without your starting QB and win going away is very solid.

FSU is back and with a healthy Greg Jones at RB looked very good tonight, mind you it was against UNC. Still a good win.

Miami, OH moved the ball quite well between the 20's but had problems finishing.

Oh, ya and last but not least, OSU sucks ass on the road. Fields single handedly blew this game against Nebraska.

Great Post -- we should do one of these every week, a sort of wrap up onthings that surprised us:

Here's what I learned:

1. That Okahoma State has one of the worst quarterbacks in college football. This pathetic piece of sh*t threw for less than 100 yards, threw three interceptions, and looked clueless the entire game. And he quarterbacks a Ranked team (#24 before yesterday's pathetic effort). Case in point: Down 17-7 in the middle of the 4th quarter, but with enough time left to come back, the jerk off missed his wide open receiver with a pass that sailed ten feet over his head. What would hav been a first down at the Husker 40 was instead a 3rd and 10 from the 35. Dipsh*t laughs it off (camera was right on his face). Next play, future car saleman throws the ball twenty feet off course and into the waiting arms of the Nebraska defender. Disgraceful. DOn;t count on this team to score many points this season.

2. That Connecticutt has all the makings of a legitimate Division 1 team. Just three years into their football program, CT demolished a Big 10 team -- admittedly soft Indiana. I listened to all the Vegas radio touts talk about CT having no chance to cover in this game since it was supposedly a step up in class. They destroyed Indiana and easily covered. In a few years, this might be a top notch program.

3. That Auburn is always over-rated. End of sentence. No argument.

4. That Ohio State deserves to be the the #1 team in the country in that ridiculous poll. UNtil the national champions LOSE A GAME, this schoold DESERVES TO BE #1. This case is made even stronger by Ohio State crushing a very god Washington team, while Oklahoma had a bye week playing North Texas. Any coach who votes any team other than OSU as the top team should be crucified. F*cking idiots.

5. That Texas A&M remains an embarassment to the great traditions of Texas football. This lackluster team struggled AT HOME against that mighty 30-point dog, Arkansas State. RC Slocum was one of the worst coaches of all time, and this football program seems to have inherited his dull coaching methods.

6. Finally, kudos to all the real college football teams that aren't afraid to play REAL competition early in the season, rather than scheduling creampuff opponents. That goes for Ohio State, Colorado, CSU, USC, Auburn, Wash, and a few others.

What I learned:

That my Seminoles defense is gonna be better than I thought. The offense, well it's always there.

Did I happen to mention that I think Casey Clausen sucks!

And win or lose, Van Pelt for Colo State is worth the price of admission.

Was told by a friend that was at the Kent State Akron game that Kent has lots of speed on off. and d . Cribbs and linebacker Eric Mahi healthy will be great for the Flashes this year. Go to Pittsburgh next might be a good over play. More to come.

2. Indiana is young, inexperienced, short on talent and in trouble ATS this year.
3. CT has 2 of the best at their position anywhere...Orlovsky qb and Caulley tailback.
4. CT will be vulnerable deep and will give up too many big plays this year......

Auburn couldn't throw if we got 11 of us together to play them..............Ohio state is way more then a one man team...............Watch out for florida state.................don't watch out for clemson...............duke is still duke................. uconn isn't uconn anymore...............but thats just my opinion I could be wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1) USC still has some things to prove to me on offense (only 2 scoring drives over 4 plays long -- both for fgs). Defense is extremely strong & athletic. Bing & Tatupu are awesome!

2) Nebraska D was impressive, but OSU offense was weak.

3) Auburn D is a top 10 unit. SC's TD drives were 20 & 14 yds! USC 4-15 on 3rd downs.

4) UNLV has enough weapons to win the MWC! All their tough games @ home!

ND2002 -- I really dont think Miami wants to make an early trip out west again. If you remember, their last loss b4 Ohio St was @ Washington. That year the Canes were highly ranked going in, & couldn't make up enough ground to get a title shot. The Canes also balance out a tough non-conf schedule by playing in the weakest of the BCS confs, the Big East. At least 3 glorified scrimmages a year for Miami.

What I knew but was only justified.....I am from Bloomington Indiana and have VERY CLOSE ties with the Indiana Football Program....this team will struggle all year long....AGAIN! You can make some really good money playing against these guys all year.....Delvecchio-transfer from the Irish of ND was supposed to be some light that would bring hope to this Hoosier team to get close to .500? Well, he has NO Off Line to give him a second to throw. They actually landed a top notch recruit at RB that FSU recruited heavily (Jarvis) looks like they are going to red shirt him....oh and did I mention their AWAY schedule

this week lost 34-10 @ UCONN
next week @Wash
then get they get Ind St and Kentucky at home before going to:
@MICH
@Mich St.
then get Northwestern at home followed by OHIO STATE!!!!
@MINN
then Illinois comes in before finishing up
@Penn ST
@Purdue


OUCH, Personally I see them having on chance to win on the road and may have slight chances to win at home vs Ind St and will have tough times but could squeek out a couple more vs. Northwestern and maybe Illinois who they seem to always play tough at home. Kentucky is a big rival BUT I think their passing game will give the Hoosiers trouble, we may get a good line here to back the Wildcats for the rival and it being played in Indiana.

the one thing i learned is that USC is in the National Championship hunt... that team is put together.

Ohio State is well put together also...

also... college football is the one sport where you can always expect the unexpected...



also.. when it comes to handicapping always follow your own instincts...do not be swayed by the "talking heads" or so called experts.... do your homework and stick to your own conclusions
