Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
After 5 years of wintering here, my Vegas experiences are rapidly
coming to an end.

Our difficulties with a retarded inbred HOA and an absolute ASSHOLE neighbor, have seen to that.

We have a good cash offer on the patio home and I sent my wife and dogs back to Oklahoma. I purchased the home in 2011 in a bank foreclosure at a fire sale price.

I am awaiting inspection and plan to be here another couple weeks at most.

We have NO regrets, we had a very good run here.

My " Xmas present" to the home owners here is selling the property
about 15K below current market for a quick sale.

I will be sending all the homeowners here a letter announcing the fact that ALL their properties in this association, suddenly became worth about 10% less, and they can thank their board of directors.

What I will miss...I will add to list as time permits.

#1....The food eating experience..this is Food Lovers Paradise.
Vegas has an endless ever changing supply of variety, you name
it, its here, and of excellent quality.

Sorry to see you go, man. Hard to believe a HOA would force you out and out of the entire state. Wow! Maybe something down near freelancc on the other side of the Colorado river. Very nice and peaceful down there with a lot of the Vegas amenities to go with it? Just a thought.

Now you won't be there in 3 weeks for the Super Bowl. Dayum.

Actually, my wife has MS, the hyper stress forced our hand.
She was becoming VERY physically ill, she was having sudden seizures.
I sought out legal help, and could have easily made their lives
miserable, but it would be a long messy process.

At my age (67) I did not see me coming here many more years, its a long ass 1200 mile ride with 2 dogs.
We will be wintering in Corpus next year...I like ocean.:s1:

On the course!
I give you credit for hanging out this long. I enjoy my 5 days trips out there for the most part, but I can't see living in that toilet.

I hope the change is a blessing for both of you.

I still think I want to live there but there are some huge negatives. I really don't think I would lose discipline and gamble all the time. As bad as my discipline is, I really doubt I would be doing tourist things except for the occasional show and some poker at the local properties.

The summer heat is brutal.
Medical care is horrible. That's never been a concern but I'm getting up there.
Motor Vehicle Administration is the worst.
They might run out of water.

I will miss the mild January- March dry winter weather.
Never stayed for Vegas Summers, bad enough in oklahoma.

Been back in Oklahoma for a few days....
The arthritis has kicked in big time.....
the moist, 40ish overcast weather takes a toll...all the aches and pains pretty much disappeared in dry Vegas winter sunshine.

All true but i was told years ago that when it got really critical they wd get the water from the Pacific ocean and build de salination plants just like in Saudi.

I have a friend who has lived in Washington Utah for 3 years now. Maybe in two years when my pension becomes fully vested.
