this team has folded more times than wlad klitschko this year...it`s amazing how this club has tanked.....

then, last week they totally quit in a rivalry game vs a kansas team with a scout team qb in their home closer...

pinkel isn`t popular...the team has no character..

while iowa st has a chance to get a woodshed beating vs oklahoma in the big 12 championship game....and aren`t playing badly ay all...just getting to the big 12 title game is an accomplishment for these guys....

hate laying the 4,but,it`s worth a small play...against missou if for no other reason.....

im amazed that missouri has quit on pinkel the way they have. i always held him in high regard when he was at toledo. he pretty much built that program to what it is today. when he first got to mizzou, i remember how media and locals were singing his praises. apparently, theyve grown tired of his approach. but yeah- mizzou is a mess right now.

maybe it says at least as much about the kids as it does about pinkel....

the way these guys have folded multiple times after getting out to 2 and 3 t.d. leads is astounding.....it can happen once....but it`s been habitual this season.....

btw,gman.....in case you didn`t catch the kudos, great job on the toledo game...i hit it a little harder than usual....

i`m on oxygen as i key this....lol

much appreciated....

weasel:

glad you hit the rockets. i gotta give credit to amstutz and his gameplan in the 2h. i was really pissed that the 1st 2:00 went so horribly for toledo, because there were two advantages i thought toledo held, and being down 0-14 didnt help.

1) toledo's offensive line is huge and i felt rockets could run the ball effectively

2) jacobs is a soph and hadnt been tested in almost 2 months. i wanted to see how he would handle pressure situation in a very hostile environment.

with toledo down by a few scores, i was worried that rockets would abandon the run. to amstutz credit, they didnt. they kept their composure and then chunked away 2h rushing yards.

and although jacobs went for 400+ pass yds, he still wasnt as sharp as he normally was, and the pressure got to him after awhile.

credit the toledo gameplan for not panicking. the home field edge they hold there is incredible, and i think they knew they had the personnel to put together a comeback if they could just get a couple defensive stops, which they did.

definitely a weird game though. almost cant call it a comeback, because toledo got back in the game so quick that they ended up controlling the whole 2h and making bg play from behind.

btw- how lame is central florida? jeez. they put together a good offensive game, and still got ripped. what the hell is going on down in orlando?

Can't believe how bad Missou has been this year either. Will be interesting to see how they come out against the cyclones this week. The nebraska loss summed up their season (missou) IMO.

the late 2nd half ground game was stultifying...that comeback speaks volumes about the program and their coach.....

if i don`t bet them vs miamo,o,i`ll certainly root for them.....

hell,after tonight,i`m a toledo mudhens,storm,you name it,fan....lol.....

i even feel a kinship with danny thomas("holy toledo!").....

it actually reminded me of an old teammate of mine that got a scholarship and went down to play for the rockets back in the 70`s....john maher.....was a fullback...and a catcher on the baseball team,i believe...

no, check that...it was akron....

well,so much for auld lang syne...

g.l. this weekend...

well done,rockets....
