what is with the Republicans blowing Clemens at Congress?

I think I came across the wrong way or was misunderstood.
My point was that not one second should be wasted on baseball and steroids when they pledged to tackle big issues.
When there are problems still with Iraq, healthcare, etc; they shouldn't have time to be screwing around with steroids in baseball.
I get on a soapbox when the issue of Congress wasting time and money comes up...
