Thursday nite I was at the Main Street playing a slot I like a lot.
About 9:30 pm I tried to cash out my $326.00 ticket and received an error message,"system failure, wait for hand pay".
I pressed my service needed button and waited and waited.
10 minutes goes by, nothing, virtually no floor people to be seen.
It turns out that they had a network failure and EVERY slot device that issued a ticket was not functioning.
What compounded the issue was there was no announcement made, and more and more people unaware, started playing, adding more people needing hand pays.
Got paid after an hour and a half wait.
I saw several people leave the casino with some money on their machine.
One fella ran up to the casino rep and said he was late for work, could you please pay me my $40.
They told him "we will get to you when we get to you"...he won't be back.
I asked what would happen to the money left by people who finally gave up...."Casino keeps it"
I told the flunky what I thought of the badly handled situation, and suggested they give everyone affected a free buffet for two coupon for the inconvenience...they really missed a good PR opportunity.
