What R Nice areas to stay in Vegas?

Hello I have checked Craigslist and other sites for studio / 1 Bedroom furnished and have come across decent prices but I have been to vegas a few times but never out of Casinos lol. Im looking for nice place close to strip that I dont have to worry about getting mugged at lol. On a month to month lease or 6months or even a year starting in March. If anyone knows of any nice places or any heads up where not to look would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know if it is age restricted, but 1500 sq ft patio homes are renting in my area (west of strip about 10 minutes from Orleans) for about a $900 a month, all inclusive....lots of property managers out there...can get you a few names if you need some contacts.

I agree with Jack--VRBO always has good properties--have rented from them many times.

The farther west you go ,....the better !!

Summerlin is a night & day difference , compared to anywhere within 5 miles of the strip.

It's only a 20 minute ride from Summerlin to LV BLVD.

u'll get a 1bdr by flamingo and maryland area for $500 in a decent neighbourhood (few blocks from unlv)(3miles from the strip) if u go west it will be in the 800s and up but a little east of the strip and u'll be fine.....and don't listen to anyone that the east is bad and full of crime,they full of shit

Wow!! i actually almost bought 2 weeks there facing the strip back when they opened for the 2 weeks over x mas and New Years.............they were great back then.........buying timeshares however is real dumb because u can rent them all over the world and not have the ownership hassle and ur $$ tied up for what is almost always a depreciating asset. I wd say u are getting a real steal .... Enjoy!!!

I guess it was too good to be true. Im on phone to book it and I was told that 750$ is for 2weeks . 1500$ for month still seems like a nice deal? I guess I will keep looking. Damn I thought I was in.
