heads up pirate fans. towson st came to Greenville Saturday and rang up 27 first downs, 416 total yards and 33+ minutes of possession. ecu heads down to Gainesville this weekend. somebody tell me why fla -19 isn't a gift.

I see iowa laying 4- in ames. hawkeye, shouldn't we play the dog here, especially in ames?

I caught a late play on temple Saturday, and they didn't disappoint. now the owls catching a td+ in cincy. that sure looks inviting.

what else do you see?

QB for ECU was hurt and out for season before that game, Towson isn't that bad of a team, but this offense for ECU is probably the weakest that Ruff has had in quite some time. You just don't replace a 3 yr starter overnight which is his mistake for not having 2 in the wings and their "D" has lots of replacements as well. This will be a down yr for ECU but they will create some problems for Florida, but with Fla giving only 19 pts, that could be an ugly game in the 2nd half as Fla looked pretty good on offense and the team attitude under Mac is much better than it was for over-rated Muschamp. The Auburn "D" looked great for Musch didn't it? LOL NO it didn't, L'ville gave Auburn all it could handle with a backup QB.

Lots of dogs stick out this week but going to wait for the lines to move in my direction, Loopster!!

I like Miss St getting pts right now, but that line will probably move to pickem before game time.

Totals have yet too be released but UNDER in the Iowa/Iowa State affair is a "GIVEN". :yup The annual battle for the "Cy-Hawk" Trophy has gone UNDER something like 28 out of the last 30 meetings between these too. Also, Notre Dame -10 against a bad Virginia team looks inviting. Cavaliers were "Man-Handled" by UCLA & me thinks Notre Dame is MUCH better than the Bruins.

Best Of Luck This Week!!! :0008

Total will probably be set at 47-51 pts. Rhoads and Kirk teams lack any potent defense to stop each other from scoring. 38 pts scored in UNI/ISU game and 45 in Iowa/Illi St. 37, 48 and 15 pts scored last 3 in series, Rd team is 3-0 L3.

Just sayin.

Yea Reds with out even looking at stuff ISU poor Def--Richardson good passer with some good receivers this year-Iowa can stop their run game and I think Iowa can move the ball vs ISU front 7. Too early yet/ Kirk says he is going to openit up more. They ran that fake FG the other day and the crowd gave him a standing ovation.

what stands out next week?

That was a fun play to see when they ran that. Didn't get a first down but the crowd loved it.
Less than 60,000 showed up....
Don't blame them; it was hotter than hell Saturday. We left at the end of the third quarter for shade and cold beer back at the tailgate.
Both teams are poor this season. Iowa doesn't have much speed on defense and those wideouts for ISU can run a bit.
I think Iowa will be able to run a little on State-- as you say, it's a poor defense once again in Ames.
Almost wish I was going this year to see the improvements to their stadium. Will make the trip in two years....:toast:

No opinion on the game yet, but. . . . First road game for the quarterback with a lot of responsibility for blitz pickup going to the RB and none have more than a game of experience. Didn't see any of the UCLA game, but Virginia was supposed to have a strong D.

Tough road spot for ND this week laying 11 vs a formidable defensive front.

I agree that Muschamp is about as overrated as it gets as a football coach and coordinator. And, his demeanor is something that kids don't deal with well nowadays. I wasn't surprised that Ville hung tough with Aub, who I have penciled in as the most overrated team nationally (by AP ranking). The lucky fumble return for a TD saved their behinds imo

Can't say I'm that surprised by people throwing around this phrase this week after our 2013 season, but are we really gonna start calling every takeaway by a defense luck or just the ones Auburn gets? Monty Adams blew up a double team and knocked out the RB during the handoff... if we're calling great plays by defensive players "luck" now then I'll just start ignoring more discussions. Seems kinda dumb though.

1 game is really early to be saying who is overrated, especially since we all know rankings at this point in the season are completely useless and arbitrary, but if I were to have to say who is the most overrated by ranking it would be the #7 team in the country giving up 550 yards and 42 points to a BIG SKY team... just my humble opinion.

Will be in Baton Rouge in 2 weeks to hopefully see a hell of a game :0008
