I was wondering why they didn't just take a knee 3 or 4 times; was about 1:29 left I think when they took over. Thought the fumble was BS; it looked like the ball came out after the knee was down but nothing conclusive; so the replay guys were forced to go with the crew on field.
No, Hawkeye, Jamie Pollard loves him. The fans have turned on him the last few years but Pollard is a typical clueless egomaniac AD that thinks he's never wrong and will support him until the two whales that write big checks to ISU's athletic department decide they want Rhodes gone.
My question is why fire him anyway? You simply aren't gonna win in a out of the way hick town like Ames with the nasty winters and a small and clueless fan base. Rhodes bleeds catsup and mustard and is a great ambassador for the school.
But he will be gone at the end of the year and they will start over and go 11-37 the next 4 years before whoever they hire next gets fired.
