What's the best piece of "man" advice you've ever heard?

My dad told me this classic when we were fishing at the end of a dock when I was 12.
"When Arrow's leave - they tell everyone."
I got plenty of dates my first year of college, but I wasn't getting laid. I was a pretty nice guy and didn't really push the issue......While talking with a buddy that I had grown up with since the 6th grade, he asked, "I heard you went out with Atchison, did you get laid?"....I said, "No." He said why not, and I told him that she wasn't "that kind of girl". He just laughed and said, "Well Tinkey went out with her two weeks ago and he got laid." About a month later he asked, "I saw you out with Paesano last night, did you get laid?" I said, "No." I told him that she wasn't "that kind of girl". He once again laughed and told me that Wright had gone out with her recently and he got laid.........He then tilted his head and then said, "You aren't trying hard enough." I asked, "What do you want me to do?"
At this point I received the greatest piece of advice ever:
"Just go until they say NO!"
At our age now it sounds pretty simple, but at that time of my life it was world changing. I started getting laid left and right, but up until that point a chick would have had to have stood up, took off all of her clothes and then take off all of mine for me to think that she actually wanted it........Keeping in mind that this was all pre-internet and we were still wanting our MTV.
All I know is that Dave Kell changed my life that day and I will always be grateful for that.:0008
