Besides the obvious one that he is black?
He is the far most liberal member of the Senator.
When he doesn't agree with a bill he just votes present. He lied about funding during his campaign. He has only gone with the republican party once to accomplish anything (and the whole party, joined in that bill), so that shows me he doesnt have the balls to go against his party, to help the people.
The only other thing that I think attracts people to him is that he reads well from a teleprompter? I just don't see why people listen to his rhetoric and ideaology and then claim hes the messiah.

I mean how many things can a man promise the middle class? So if anyone call tell me what this candidate offers that no other Democrat in the past did, I would love to hear it. While your at it, list me some his accomplishments, so that I can go in with a positive mindset that he has the ability to accomplish things, not just talk about them.

do you even know what a present vote is ? you can't find one in the us senate .... do you even understand why he would vote that way or where he voted that way ? are you even qualified to judge his many accomplishments ? you sound like you shop @ wal mart ...... you need the tax cut he will provide for you. ... Obama has done more for vetrans than mccain....http://obama.senate.gov/issues/veterans/ http://sensico.wordpress.com/2008/07/10/mccain-lies-about-his-voting-record-for-veterans/ does your computer work ? do you have a tv ? if you can't find obama accomplishments, try google...... the people that told you he has none, are not smart enough to recognize them... I watch fox everyday also... do what I do... flip to other channels, you may learn something......8 yrs of bush & you want more.....god bless you .

So, Derrick, you're ultimate goal here is to be convinced to have a positive mindset that Obama will be able to accomplish things?
:)mj07: )

For what purpose? Would you then be convinced to vote for him? Not rail on him and dems in general while out at the bar? Feel good about a guy (who just happens to be black) that might lead your country?

Or is this one of those rhetorical question thingees?

Yep he certainly done a lot for vets trying to snatch defeat from jaws of victory after 5 years of sacrifices--ranting on Petraus with Moveon and Kos--only thing he hasn't done is picket with the pinkies at recruiting stations.

Don't see how you put much faith in bill increasing benefits to anyone as supportive--unless yoiu can show us one area he doesn't promise more benefits to everyone--you missed Tony Robbins when switching those channels.

If promising more freebies to anyone is your "qualification" for pres--he's your man. :)

you want to send Americans off to wars & not pay fair compensation...you have a problem with 95% of tax payers keeping more of the money they earn.....those are not freebies.... 8yrs of bush tax cuts & freebies for everyone but the working man has us right here.....you want more of the same ? 5yrs of wasted life & wealth .... terror can't be defeated or sustained conventionally...thats a concept way over your pay grade..... it took almost 5yrs for bush/cheney to figure out, what some generals told them from the start.... not enough boots on the ground.... sell that victory bull shit to the dead & wounded and their families.. there is no victory in a war that should have never been....

Yet another liberal who gets defensive and avoids the question. Please name why he is different from any other candidate? Please name his accomplishments. Thanks

why does he have to be different ? his accomplishments are public record....I have never voted for a democrat for president.... I vote reblican > 90% of the time.... not everyone that disagrees with the present right is a liberal....

What has McCain accomplished in 30 years in the Senate. I know he got captured in Vietnam. Is that all he has?

As you guys always point out, HE'S BLACK!! Thats a difference...

Accomplishments....he survived through the war of OLD RACIAL TIMES of America as a blackman, now we are in the NEW RACIAL TIMES...and also survived that era as a blackman without giving up alot of information about his race, family, and friends.....now did McShame accomplish that in his stay at war?

Hey 2Lips... Why would anyone answer that? It's a leading question. Liberals can ask leading questions too. For example...

Can you list ALL the ways McCain is different from Bush, and while you're at it, can you list ALL the ways Sarah Palin is different from Dan Quayle?

I'll expect a full report within the hour. Now, hop to it boy, the clock is ticking...

As a person, I like Obama, he come across as personable and he is well spoken and intelligent. I do like some of his ideas as I do a lot of social work in the community. I think some of the attacks are unfair by both sides. Being a small business owner, Obama scares me with what he'll try to do to corporate america with raising taxes like corporate gains for example. His ideas would be sound in a thriving economy but right now they would plunge this country into a severe recession if not a depression. There is a time for his ideas, maybe in 4 or 8 years, but not now. I really don't think he understands economics and thus now is not the time to put him in office. :nono:

Yeah, you're right Pirate Fan. Good thinking. We should wait another 4-8 years before we do something rash like put a Democrat in office. In fact, to keep the country from "plunging into depression" we really should ask Congress to repeal the 22nd Amendment and keep Dubya in office until the economy is booming, there's no more wars, we've ended world hunger and the Cubs win the World Series. Then... maybe what we could do is let that Obama guy try runnings things while Dubya's clearing brush in Crawford and see how he does. You know, it'd sorta be Andy leaving Barney in charge while he's up in Raleigh at the Sheriff's convention.

Not saying things are great with Bush, or McCain, but right now gotta go with the lesser of two evils.Need to deal with today, not who created it, President or do nothing congress.

He gives better speeches than Al Bore or John Kerry. There is your answer. And McCain is actually way better than George Bush but wlll have to explain why he is going to be much better. He has thrown he long ball on his VP and let's see if that works for him. Obama went with the safest choice possible.
