If you guys ever leave Wilkes barre with time on your hands, drive over to Bear Creek Village and take pics. Thanks. :0008

I could have done that on my way home. Not sure how far away it is but when I left to get back on the highway I did see a sign for a Bear Creek. I think it's on the turnpike because I got off the last exit before the turnpike. I'll try to remember that for next time.:0074

OK I googled it and I think it's near Allentown, which is 70 miles below Wilkes Barre. Golf Course, Resort, etc. No gambling.

I forgot to mention, congrats on the 300 Reds. They are hard to get. I'm down to one night a week so I don't see many more of them in the future. I had a 290-766 match this year which was by far my best of the season. Funny thing was I wasn't even high on the pair that night.

Thanks, PA....:toast:

I've been bowling once a week for the last 10 years and my avg has never been higher--guessing its because I don't take it for granted like I did when I bowled 2-3 nights a week.
a few weeks before my 300, I shot a 289-747 series in a tournament that paid pretty nicely....:0008
Funny you mention your 290-766. I shot 724 for the night--1st game was 183  and 241 in game 3.

Guy on the pair with us shot his 1st 300 in the 3rd game and was torching them all night as he ended up with an 835 series....:scared

I live somewhat close to Bear Creek. What peaks your interest?

I hit a 25 cent wheel of fortune slot in 2004 there for $31k.

Maybe 6 months later they eliminated the progressive wof machines and made it a fixed jackpot. I think the 25 cent machines paid 5k. What a joke. I was rather fortunate.

What is it like there? Is there anything to do in Bear Creek Village, PA? Snow skiing, water skiing, I don't know what the town is like. Are there hotels/motels/inns???

My Bad  I looked up Bear Creek. This place you are talking about is TINY- the census for 2011 says 257 people live there.

Bear Creek doesn't really have that stuff. However, you can do that stuff in surrounding areas. It is pretty quiet.

I wouldn't suggest planning a trip there. I would suggest the Poconos, which isn't that far away. Not that the Poconos would blow your socks off anyway.
