I shared this on Facebook. It was a bit contrived and I wish there had been other discussion before "the big question", but it's a damned good question! I don't know that I know anyone, gay or straight, who chose their sexuality. I believe there's a reason for ice cream to come in so many flavors....there's not one that appeals to everyone!
This is a flawed argument. I'm not giving my opinion but this "good question" is not a reason to support homosexuals or not to.
I know I didn't choose, I just started watching the "Price is Right" and I wasn't checking out the contestant's merchandise.

What's the flaw? Did you choose your preference or did it just happen?? Feeling as you do, I doubt many gays really care whether or not you "support" them. That's not the question. Supporting homosexuality is not the same as wanting equal rights for all, women and men, black and white, gay and straight.
If you are offended by someone's sexual behavior (note I said behavior, not preference) in public, you have the right to ask them to stop or get a room. What consenting adults do behind their own doors doesn't affect anyone else and really isn't anyone else's business.
The major problem that many people have with gays is what they envision within their own head and not anything like what the people truly are. That just tells me that the problem is their own perception, not the homosexual's at all!
