Similar over here - have an 8 and 10-year-old. Just told them tonight at dinner that I thought it was now looking pretty likely that they won't be going back to school this year. I'm happy that they'll both at least be going back to the same school again next year, so even if it's the end it's not THE END. Really feel for the high school seniors out there - those last couple months of senior year are (generally) a lot of fun and that's just something you can never get back.
My general feeling is that April is going to just be constant bad news, with hopefully signs that we're over the peak and on our way down by the end of it. Then May will still be full social distancing, but this time with progressively better news as the month goes on. June more local things start to open (restaurants, bars, malls, etc) but still with travel restrictions and certain hard-hit areas still under stay-at-home orders. Then - maybe - we get sports and concerts back in July. I think if MLB, NBA, and NHL aren't back by the 4th they will just scrap the season.
