When you die? No, I'm kidding. In all seriousness, I would say when it starts affecting your attitude and your relationships with friends/family, etc. If you ever get to the point where you would rather spend all your free time watching/following games that you bet on rather than spend time with the people you care about, it may be time to back off for a while. And I say this from personal experience...

Reason I'm breaking for a while, probably until football next year. Became a grind and I all of a sudden started to feel like I had a second job.

Sometimes clearing your head really does the trick.

HELL
Right after March Madness, NBA and Baseball stink IMO.

In all seriousness, if you have to ask, than you probably already should know the answer, and that is right now.

my rule ...
pick your favorite sport to wager on . wager only on that sport . if you wager on everything you will lose alot of money during that time .
dont think anyone can gamble every day and win money over a long period of time .

wagering on only one sport will increase your chance to win some jack .. i started doing this about 5 years ago and has work out great .
i won + 60 units per year the last 4 year on the nfl . last 3 years all posted on madjacks .

i do wager on nascar , but that for fun to get me to the nfl season . my big bucks always goes on the nfl ... just my 2cents .. g/l

What should be the prize?

What should be the prize?

A test of patience, discipline and handicapping skill

The Proposition

You must select 12 consecutive winners without a loss

The sport must be either football or basketball, pro or college, men or women

You have one year to accomplish this feat

One caveat

Your winning selections must cover the closing line by +10 ATS or greater

When the disappointment and stress of losing outwieghs the thrill and satisfaction of winning. That was my cue to scale way back anyway.

also, when I my bookie tells me for the 3rd time in the football season, "I needed what you needed", and you lost a ton

always remember the action will be there tomorrow, next week, or next year

you don't HAVE TO bet at any time

it's always there

thanks for the concern, I only bet small way within my means. I have decided to take a break between March Madness and next football season. At least not on a daily basis.
