anyone watching the mets/braves game, the announcers comment on the braves bullpen melt down, "do you remember the little girl on the salt box? "

this game and the KC bullpen debacle today are firm examples of why I don't play unders even the ARZ/MILW went over the total thanks to Prinz.

The last 2 years any game that caps under the total I toss out the window, maybe I am crazy, but until the pitching improves I will not risk my money on the jokes they call bullpens these days.

and the kicker is....

and the kicker is....

......it was Smoltz who gave up those runs! (not just another bum from the pen) Just a bad break/beat for those on the under. Guess you can call it an anomaly.

On the other hand, if you had the OVER in the Minn/Tor game, you had to wait nervously until the bottom of the 8th inning for the 10th run to be scored, even though 9 runs already came across the plate by the end of the 3rd!

Gecko I know it was Smoltz and then Small came in and worked a third of an inning giving up 2 hits, 1 earned run, and 2 walks, all told 15 batters went to the plate for the mets in the 9th. the same thing may be happing in Houston as I type. yep hit by pitch RBI ! UNREAL and even if the under players get outta the top of the ninth who will pitch for stl with a five run lead? the CLOSER maybe or maybe not one garbage run in the bottom of the ninth and OVER she goes!
