Fla Int'l is to hire, Burch Davis, former U of Miami, Cleveland Clowns and UNC Tarheels head coach to the same position? He told ESPN today, he's leaving to take the HC Positon?

WOW!! When will ADs of programs ever learn that when you have a cheater like he did at Oklahoma, U of Miami and UNC, his spots ain't ever gonna change?

Bad for football and bad for kids that want to follow in his footsteps!!

Just my opinion.

Input is appreciated!!

I think recruiting is tough for smaller schools....and having a famous, or in this case infamous name at the head coach position only helps to get the kids to commit...a lot of college coaches reach longevity because they are able to recruit and not so much as the X's & O's.....

I'm sure they saw it as a opportunity to get the recruits to see that their coach could possibly be a big name who coached in the NFL in prior years....

Morals are usually not considered when making hires....wining and losing usually dictate and determine the winning candidate, and I'm sure they thought this option helped them more then others....

I think he's a bum as well....but that would be my guess as to why give him the job

I don't have a problem with the "cheating". I have a problem with the crooked NCAA giving the public the perception that kids getting extra benefits is actually a bad thing.
