TTM sometimes you learn slow. My first car bought in 1959 was a 55 chev bel air rag top. Do I wish I had it? Yes since it cost me 900 dollars. Remember brain nw they were only $2200. Now in good shape 40 to 45 thousand. Used 55 to but next car. 1957 chev bel air no post beauty. Do I wish I had it. Third car 1959 chev impala rag top. used 57 to buy that. Wish I had that to. Kind-a like I have some baseball cards left. Hate to think the ones I traded or used in the spokes of my bike to make it sound like a motor bike. That of course was before I had a driver license. But anyway this fellow in 1979 had this very low mileage 76 vette with two sets of tops. One smoked class, the other standard set. I had a good offer for the 69 no way at that time could I keep both. So it was sold. And of course in 70 the 69 had not jumped in prices as they have now. So now I know and its to late for all of the above. So as I said a slow learner. Hey one more I had a 70 chev chevelle SS. I wont embarrass my self anymore and tell you what engine was in that car. But at least that one I got good money out of. I know I would get big dollars today. But some time you need money for oher things. So when your up in age as I am. Well you got to have a good time with some great autos.

454 at about 11 miles to the gallon. But who cared then. Gas was cheap till 1973/74. The fealing of torque on the seat of your pants was unreal. Neither vett could match that as quick as they were.

I hear ya DJV,

nothing like pwer shifting 1-2, 2-3, and even 3-4 and chirping the tires and the back end falling out!
If I ever come by your way, I'll make sure to give you a ride,

currently my car runs high 10's in the 1/4 mile...with the blower...
