"the bunker"
i was in the car(suv:D) earlier, and the breathless radio news coverage was almost enough to induce vomiting....

so i rushed home and turned on c-span..

i wasn`t disappointed..

i shouldn`t have to do this for you guys.....spongy,eddie,kosar,djv,stevie.......smurphy,if you`re still drawing breath.....

you guys should be doing the reportage....

well, here we go...to be fair, there were a handful of active and retired military there....a handful....

when i started watching,it started off with a 12 year old...child abuse ala(allah)the islamists...

""Standing on her toes to reach the microphone, 12-year-old Moriah Arnold told the crowd: "Now we know our leaders either lied to us or hid the truth. Because of our actions, the rest of the world sees us as a bully and a liar."

The sixth-grader from Harvard, Mass.(shocker), the youngest speaker on the National Mall stage, organized a petition drive at her school against the war(her parents should be thrown in jail for child abuse)...
...
Showcased speakers in addition to Fonda included actors Susan Sarandon(still looks pretty for a 70 year old woman), Tim Robbins(quoting the ten commandments:scared) ,Sean Penn(sans rescue boat) and Danny Glover.""...

john walker lindh got a loud ovation.....that`s right...TALIBAN john walker lindh....lol

and my old lady asked me,"what is jesse jackson saying".....i had to admit,i didn`t have any idea....

any jesse translators out there?...they need closed captioning every time mush-mouth garbles something profound....i think he said something like,"choclify".....

lots of interesting old thoughts and ideas...

"impeachment"..."haliburton"..."a protest against israel in june"..."katrina references"..."impeachment"..stealing the resources of the iraqi people"..."impeachment"...."AL GORE WAS ROBBED!!!!"...:142smilie

and some newbies..."70% divorce rate for returning soldiers....?...(hell, that's right up there with the civies..i guess they mean that no one should fight in a war because deployment stress causes divorce)...."rove subpoenaed...and INDICTED"...???.i didn`t know he was indicted.......lol

janet reno(the only attorney general in the history of the country who ordered tanks to go after citizens) was there.....

some peacenik rap(and i was shakin` ma` booty)..

some stuff that went by me.....some dude carryin` a sign that said,"just poop".....did they mean,"give poop a chance"?....that one didn`t register... ....

there were puppets(giant paper mache duck head)...peace duck?..maybe it was a platypus?......(ya` know,i used to be for the war,but how can you argue with that?)...

a nice touch...a flag draped coffin....very classy...some "che`" t-shirts.....palestinian flag draped over the podium....of course,no american flags.....

well, that`s about all i can take....my pancreas is ready to fall out from this nonsense....

i guess it was nice to trot hanoi jane out there and relive the bygone days when they ran the country and the world from behind a screen of stupid signs and dope smoke, and made up enemies of thier own stupidity and lunacy.....

 peace(just poop)....:sadwave:

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Hi Weaz...

Hi Weaz...

Do you not find it interesting that the protests have cranked up since the Dems have taken power? All the Libs must be wetting themselves, hardly an audible peep till now...where were these people 2000 bodybags ago?

Weassie my dear confused neocon puppet boy. You can keep up your lie but true Conservatives are against this occupation too. Only Neocon traitors are for it.

Weasel:

I hate to keep calling you Weasel (although it fits) as I don't know your first name. I mean we all care about each other here. I care about you as I would care about a younger brother with downs syndrome.

Look, we have Stevie, Matt, Saul, and D (JV) in the middle and Wayne and asswipe (the Freezer) over there with Attila. Although appropriate, I've grown tired of calling you Weasel. Give us a first name mate. Make one up if you have too but anthing other than the four legged plant destroying creatures name that youve chosen.

By the way, haven't chimed in on the rally cause I'm in DC helping MM film this thing.

I didn't realize there were so many across the country. Dam from one man in some small city to thousands other places. Where was the news coverage is good question? As to have there been others last few years. Yes. but I do believe the fears of doing so is lifting as the neocons loose power. I believev everyone has the right to protest.
I rather they just have one or two and get it done. I do not want to see it as it was with Nam.

Odd statement spongy considering it wasn't we neocons praying for minimum wage increase?? :)

just because a party i begrudgingly support, supports a platform ,does this mean i support the same platform? I hate to break the news to you dog but i dont even think i voted for clinton the two times he won. I think i voted for Perot and I know i voted for Nadar. Just shows you how foolish you are when your throw the nasty Liberal word around to anyone that doesn't agree with you.:nono:

Nothing wrong with a little dissent. Reminds me of my youth. Just wish I could pick up the aroma through my monitor.

Wouldn't by choice be hanging with those in the photo's you've depicted with the exception of Janie. Show me a better looking 70 year old woman than Jane Fonda and I'll show you a post where Wayne has been honest. Ain't none!!!! I'd schtupp her in a heartbeat.

Would probably be hanging with some of the more liberal intellectual types whom you've chosen not to show. You know like Dershowitz, Kucinich, Springer and Povich.

Also, would never wear a Yankee cap. Would be trying to hit on the 14 year old immediatly behind the guy with the sign in the blue coat. The 70 year old Barbarela and the 14 year old Barbie. The big Ed does not believe in age discrimination.

Can't believe how you sit there and brag about how you own a bmw outright without any liens. You are as pompous as Wayne.

Since you did not identify yourself, I am naming you Gary.

Edward Haven't you taken enough abuse for one week?--have you not learned your lesson yet?

back to protesters-- I appears to me it's dejavu all over again--

These protesters against war/violence paint grafftiti--smash windows in vans of news affiliates that don't support them but their their real class

"There were a few tense moments, however, including an encounter involving Joshua Sparling, 25, who was on crutches and who said he was a corporal with the 82nd Airborne Division and lost his right leg below the knee in Ramadi, Iraq. Mr. Sparling spoke at a smaller rally held earlier in the day at the United States Navy Memorial, and voiced his support for the administration?s policies in Iraq.

Later, as antiwar protesters passed where he and his group were standing, words were exchanged and one of the antiwar protestors spit at the ground near Mr. Sparling; he spit back.

Capitol police made the antiwar protestors walk farther away from the counterprotesters.

?These are not Americans as far as I?m concerned,? Mr. Sparling said.

Another counterprotester, Larry Stark, 71, a retired Navy officer who fought in Vietnam for five years and was a prisoner of war, said, ?We never lost a battle in Vietnam but we lost the war, and the same is going to be true in Iraq if these protesters have their way.?

The protesters on Saturday were undermining troop morale, Mr. Stark said, and increasing the likelihood of a premature withdrawal.

?It?s like we never learn from the past,? he said."
