stevie,

there is a way in debating the issue that is proper & then there is a way of explaining your position by demeaning the president, or anybody else a person is debating.

by yelling draft dodger at the top of your lungs is demeaning.

calling the president a moron is wrong, & it's disgusting if you are in a foreign country.

moore is only out for 2 things: to embarass his adversary & to make alot of money for himself.

i just think that the office of ther presidency should be respected, by everybody. that is why i was very vocal against anything that was brought against clinton. i didn't think that the office should be embarrassed, for something like a blow job. i thought that any charges could have waited until clonton left office.

so, stevie, to answer your question a little more directly---

debate is very healthy---embarrassing the opposition is wrong!!

Ar interesting you mention embarrasing. Look to the campaign for president. In some polls today on these ads it found citzen groups tired of them already. They rate over 60% of Bushs and 40% of Kerry just that. Lacking in substance. But very negative. So you see asking to be embarresed can start at he top.

I think where the line has been drawn is in the name calling ect issue. I don't believe I have ever seen Bush call Kerry any derogitory names and if I am wrong please post where he has. Yet you have Kerry-Kennedy-Gore- (the left) all with vein popping expletive speechs.

If ads displaying a persons voting records and the "flipper routine" on issues is negative than I would say those actions themselves are negative----
however many of these facts presented from both sides in ads are often taken out of text and stretched to fit cause.

A good rule of thumb that can be made on each side is look where the money is coming from to back them.
Most of the big money coming in on the left is from the bar association--movie stars and Soros.--and if you knew what Soros agendas have been I think you and many others would be quite shocked. I am still waiting for the 1st interviewer to ask Kerry what he thinks of Soros.

DTB im sorry but it's easy to read between the lines from both parties. They both have there nuts. Ann Coulter comes to mind when we talk about the M Moore's of the republican party. She is it. They should take them both where they cant be seen or heard.
