Gregg, I'm no way saying Manning is a AVERAGE QUARTERBACK. I'm a Manning fan, is a extraordinary talent. But I'm saying, and its true, he had another Subpar postseason. He basically played 1 great half, the second half against New England when they scored 32 points in the second half to win. And that was against a exhausted Flu ridden team that had absolutely nothing left. I'm a close fan of New England, and in the fourth quarter they had 2 players on the field defensively I have never heard of,Eric Alexander #52 & some guy named Baker #32, along with Ray Mickens who they got off the street that week. Anyway.....

people are ignoring how well the Indy offensive line played, Manning I believe was only hit once. Line opened huge holes for ADDAI & RHODES.

Indy Defense has come a long long way from first weeks of season, this defense is now solid, and way above average. McFarland & Freeney both have learned to play extremely well together. Colts are now solid against the run & pass. Jones broke one 50 yard run, but aside from that Colts were very solid. Chicago thought they would push the Colts around, and it wasn't the case.

So all and all, you had Indy offensive line playing very well, defensive whole unit playing well. Harrison Clark & Wayne are always solid.

And Manning played a good game, not great, good. Although compared to Grossman, he would look tremendous. Indianapolis won this year because the entire team around Manning got very much improved. Manning s rating wasn't that good, 3 touchdowns & 7 interceptions isn't that good. But for once, Manning didn't have to do everything himself. Colts overall have improved immensely. Now they will have the problems New England has had trying to keep the team together. You simply can't pay everyone, I can't wait till opening game next season, Thursday night football opening game will be New England at Indy. These are now the 2 best teams in NFL, and probably best rivalry.

i dont think anybody thought he wasnt a top qb...its when you start comparing him to the greats is what people ?..to me tom brady has done more with less talented teams.3 superbowls with the pat teams is amazing,,even in a watreddown league with no alltime great teams(pats have an argument)

1 2 Moe. I think i would take Brady first but it is close. The sickening thing i have to argue about every single year is how Donovan Mcnab is better than both of them. Just flat out stupid and silly.

No crikets here pal. That had to be the worst SB of all time. The Bears were godawful . I don't think he can do it again. If he does the NFL as I know it is in trouble. Pre Menstrual doesn't come close to the best of all time. They have put skirts on his generation of qb's. This guy is as tough as lickrish, he may be one of the best of his generation, thats not worth much in my book.

This superbowl reminded me of the NBA finals last year. Two teams who were not the best in the league and they gave us a bad game and series. SD is the power house in this league and are stacked everywhere. Stupidity cost them the superbowl but hey that is how it goes.

mvp?

mvp?

the colts O line deserved the mvp but they had to give it to peyton. why all the hate?? showgirls with more talent? he gave all the credit to his coach and his teammates. he played a good game in tough conditions. bears D was overrated throughout the playoffs. Colts convinced me when they knocked off the Ravens.

Rhodes was the MVP, but The leauge Already had

You're the joke, wiggie.

I guess Manning should be out clubbing, getting shot, flashing bling, spreading incurable VD, forgetting to dump his pot before boarding planes. Vomit. Hip hop attitude is ruining football.

gotta admit the guy has no streetcrede?

maybe he does...could be just the way people look at it..

from the Madison Ave. types he certainly must..

advertising seems to be directed straight toward the correct demographic on the products that American consumers buy each and every day.

wouldn't that be streetcdede?

if he hasn't pitched all the products below it surely will not be long before he does.

start the line guys

start the line guys

Montana and Unitas best two I ever seen ... Joe Willie if he had been healthy; Marino & Fouts amazing passers, too; Favre and Elway elite... Loved Jurgenson as a lil kid ... Brady doesnt have these numbers and never will, hes great but has always had the better team and HF until this year, PM has now got him 3xs in a row ...

Worst...I doubt that.

Dan Marino 8-10 and zero Superbowl Rings and no MVP.

VS.

Peyton Manning 7-6 with a Superbowl & MVP

marino

in all fairness marino had no running game or good defense to help him out. i'm not one of these manning bashers. don't understand why so many people hate him. i had money on the colts in sb so i was pulling for him there but otherwise i'm a south texas cowboys fan. just heard they hired Bum's boy. curious move. i was pulling for Singletary, even without the experience. i suspect jones didn't think he could manipulate him. am a big fan of the Phillips family. Bum is a good man, lives about 30 miles from me.
