I'm going to buy more real soon but I hate buying from Coinbase.

Any place have cheaper fees and are faster getting it into your account?

I guess it's not that bad, for $15K it's $220 but then there are fees moving it out of Coinbase. I guess those fees aren't so bad.

I have a $5000 limit on my debit card for instant bitcoin on purchase but I get an error every time I try to use it. Then they cancel the BUY. There's nobody to ask why because I can't get CS on the phone and emails are backed up for days. I have a $15K limit on my bank account but it takes a week for me to get it.

Pain in the ass.

Gemini is the best. Only $500 allowed per business day unless you wire them the money. There are basically no fees compared to Coinbase

Thanks, that would take too long at $500 a day, may as well use coinbase.

Have you checked out GDAX? Run by same company as Coinbase, however the fees are much less if you set up limits.

They require your SSN and a photo of your ID, though.

That might be worth a shot. I see they have same day bank wire so that's what I'm looking for and cheaper fees. Maybe they will start me with at least the same limits as coinbase since they are related.

Same company, jack. Type gdax.com in your bowser and it will say Coinbase.com
Been using gdax for a while now? wished I?d have known about them sooner.

I found one for 6%. Its insane walk up put in your phone number it texts you a code. You enter the code.
Scan you QR wallet from your phone. Deposit cash into the ATM. Walla....BTC in your wallet in 30-120 mins.
When you're done paying fees with coinbase its 8% in think...They suck. Would rather deposit cash and even pay 2-6% higher and not have all my info stored at coinbase.

I'm depositing $10K-$15K so I'll pass on the 6-8%.

I don't think those are available around here anyway.

thanks :0008

6%-8%?

I was hoping to avoid that. Coinbase is less than 3%, I thought I could buy for half that.

Jack the reason you're getting the error is your bank is blocking the transaction.
I had the same issue. But my limit is only $500 still. You need to call your bank and have them allow this type of transaction. It is processed through coinbases processor in the UK. So its an international transaction...Had to jump thru some hoops but now I have 2 debit cards linked and no issues. Hope that helps you out.

What are you gonna buy?

:00hour

I'm just sticking with BTC at this point. I'm hoping it takes a big dip when the forks comes. Pure speculation on my part.

Sold my MTL and CVC but still hold TIX and DNT. I missed the nice run TIX had this week or I would have sold it but now I'm gonna wait for another one of those runs.

With all this fork talk and whatnot, I just lost interest but could come back after everything settles. I sold most of my BTC when it hit $5500 about 3-4 weeks ago (?) and put it in my USD wallet. It immediately went back up to $6000. :mj07: And yyz wants to know why people don't sell then buy back low and sell high and buy back low. That's why.

I'm hoping to get back in under $5000. See what happens.

That?s funny Jack. I?m waiting for under $5,000 as well. My wife doesn?t get why I am hoping the price of BTC crashes every day.

At coinbase you can create a USD wallet. I transferred my BTC to my USD wallet and it's converted to USD immediately and held safely without worrying about market fluctuations. When I want to buy bitcoin I can from my USD wallet and it's bought and available instantly.

Shit, Box and one was having trouble logging in and I posted a test for him in general and forgot to log back into my account.

You sold your MTL! Ha. It's all I still hold right now. GL.

Gemini allows you to move back and forth easily as well. The new Metal Wallet that comes out Monday should have that function soon. Not sure if that will be Monday or within another month or so but that is coming.
